*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Please read back this whole thing was in response to telling somebody to do a bit more research. I can almost guarantee by your reply that you are reading it out of context :) I have already said at no point did I comment on their (ocuk) ability to obtain or ship rtx gpu's.

I did read the whole thing....and I see that your point is that you are arguing that OC isn't a small fish.

I get that...the figures prove it. If that's all your were arguing in the depths of this debacle, then ok.

But many people here aren't arguing how much money OC makes or is worth....FFS, their active order account has increased substantially since September....

The point most people are making is that all of the fake bluster and pompousness (not a word, but I like it) about being able to be a primary point of sale for Nvidia and the 30xx series has been a complete and utter load of ****.

I still can't get my head around how few seem to be flowing out, supply in quantities of 5 here, 10 there is not normal especially given the demand.
Yeah there was a lot of reasons/ excuses at the start, high demand, golden week etc,
I dont think anyone who got in day one orders thought we would still be waiting in november

Folks, don’t do this. They want us to turn on each other. Don’t give them what they want.

:D

We got this under control. Just gotta keep these noobs calm. My guess is half of them weren't born when I was first salivating over that newly released gpu 20 year or more back.

How can anybody argue that it isn't a **** show? I bet if you asked half the people involved in trying to get supply they would say exactly the same.

I've had more cards in my basket from other places in the last 7 weeks than they have gotten in cards here. It's truly strange

Very odd. I got a pallet of machines delivered to my house today (3 days late I might add). Massive lorry pulled up and dragged a pallet full of machines up my drive... Neighbours must wonder what the hell is going on!

They never need to know about your automated meth lab

Anyone getting a spidey-sense tingle about FE's tomorrow? I'm a lot more interested in a FE now that EK have shown off that beautiful new waterblock for it

I've been having desktops delivered to my house 20 at a time each week :D My garage is full of pallets. Still waiting for wife to beat me with a stick. Must not derail important thread! Ill catch up with you on the steam!

So, as a forum Sherlock Holmes exercise:

We have an established company, with pretty hefty accounts which should translate nicely into buying power....apparently able to buy next to nothing compared to the immediate rivals.

Given that the direct competition has been able to secure (verified) bigger deliveries that this company, the notion that the apparent shortage of chips from Nvidia seems to be a red herring.

Then add in that OC is the only, and I do mean only, company to continue to take pre orders all through this ****shoot, which is it? Cash grab or shear, complete ineptitude and a false belief of their own size in the grand UK scheme of things?

****** if I know....but a bunch of clowns springs to mind.

How can anybody argue that it isn't a **** show? I bet if you asked half the people involved in trying to get supply they would say exactly the same.

Yeah i'll be looking to get the 6800xt as well although i feel that the AMD cards are likely to suffer the same situation, i'm expecting a wait anyway but I won't wait so long to place my order this time round
Indeed I tried rolling the dice for a 3080 2 days after the 3070 came out and came up snake eyes, I'll be sat at the exact moment sales go live and be clicking like a pinball wizard

I'm doing nothing of the such I will try once on the day for a 6800xt and possibly a 6900xt in december. If I don't get one a friend of mine at a massive disti has promised to save me one, if that fails i'm sitting tight on a radeon 7 until new year. I can't be bothered will all this messing about in queues so will wait for a price drop for the inconvenience of not being able to buy day 1. I do have enough contacts (not at ocuk) to be able to secure a card day 1 but won't be putting in massive effort.

I believe that's on the same shipment as my x4, with the way things have been going, I doubt we'll be getting them soon lol.

It was weeks ago that they said a x3/4 shipment was coming.

In theory Gibbo's 20th Oct post said they should have left last week of October, but last week only update was on monday that they are still in HK. To the end of the week we found out that shipment might be delayed due to Apple taking all shipping slots(don't know how true that is as well, since rtx3070 were send for launch day), so that's that. So take this just how you want it.

Diplomatic way of saying go away lol

Yeahhhh, it'd be great if we could just have an answer whether this 'Apple situation' is actually true.

Would you say that the likelihood of me still receiving the card, between the 9th and 15th as advised is now pretty unlikely?

I'm close to cancelling now to be honest.
