*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

My question with the latest couple of updates about an MSI shipments, is that the same was the one that left the factory on the 23rd, the batch that left on the 31st, or an entirely different batch from a distrubutor rather than straight from MSI? Is the 3080 Trio getting large + small + very large over the next week or two, or is the very large just the large and small combined once they get here?

The amount of info has improved, but a little more detail about what is happening and has happened would help massively. The string of disconnected statements still makes it nearly impossible to keep track of what is going on despite the increase in info we are getting.

Yeah I agree, Would be great if all the previous deliveries come in at the same time.
Thou I reckon it's grouped the large and small to make a very large...

I'd guess that this is the combined "missing" MSI shipments. The equivalent of the main competitors two batches - Arrived & Shipping (30-2nd Nov) and Expected 5th - 6th Nov shipments. Why the competition got theirs on Saturday is likely because they are the no1 partner, which I assume is the case going by the fact they were picked as the FE shop.

So my guess is somewhere between 130 and 200 gaming X might be coming. Not much use for me as I'm position 602, but at least it's some movement.

Might be legal but for all of you OC arse leeches out there, these ******* have now taken my money for over two month, given multiple false promises for delivery estimates, specifically ******* TOLD ME THAT THE CARDS HAD BEEN SHIPPED 3 times. **** oc never again

Alright. Well, you're still here. The problem is the UK is small and it's always going to come down to one of a small handful of outlets.
The reason you're still here is that you cannot help yourself. Soon as something else comes along, you will rinse and repeat. Enthusiasts have very short memory spans.

I think OCUK should probably have preempted a lot of these problems much earlier on, and nobody is perfect, but, if you had other options you wouldn't be here crying your eyes out about it.

So suck it up and stop swearing...

Since when is taking preorders dishonest? - As long as they inform you either on the 3080 section and the card page about the current worldwide situation and that its going to take a long time what is the harm? - Plenty of people will just want to be in a queue and receive it when they come into stock. As a customer I would want the choice to decide if I queue or play F5 warrior round numerous other websites and not stand a chance of getting one in the 8 secs they are available.

Problem is they do not tell you on product page, they should be honest and use good customer service and put Queue length on the page with expected delivery of Q2 2021

How is everybody this fine morning? Thought this little poem might brighten the mood:

The skies are blue, the sun is shining,
I came to the forum and see lots of whining!
You are all annoyed because you spent lots of cash,
And you have heard nothing but excuses and there has been a lot of backlash

All you can do is be patient and wait,
There is no need for all the anger and hate,
If you need it now, then try your luck elsewhere,
But if you are lazy like me then sitting in a queue seems quite fair

You will be so pleased when you FINALLY get your card,
You will appreciate it more because getting it was hard,
So sit back, relax, and get on with other stuff,
Your card will come, it will be more than enough

You will play your games at the fastest speed,
Just what you wanted, but more than you need,
The wait may have been hard, but you'll be amongst the elite,
No more excuses in the games where you compete,
Happy gaming, enjoy it, have lots of fun,
Until the next best thing comes along, and you'll be back to square one!

IIRC I've seen Gibbo say that they were working on that. With all the problems with the site, the time it took to build the queue info email, and the issues they have with updating the site I get the impression that it is both running on legacy systems and run almost entirely by an outside company, and OC might just have some kind of CMS they can add products through. I think any changes are just at the end of a slow SLA that means anything they want done takes a month or two, which obviously isn't working well.

Between the communication issues (maybe they should hire a community manager/liason type position to run their comms) and the inability to get new systems inplace to deal with issues in a timely manner I really hope they are going to re-evaluate what they can and possibly must change in the next couple of years to improve their ability to deal with big launches, which must be a major contributor to their profits.

Working on it isn't quite good enough though (just another in the long line of excuses), it's been 6 weeks and it works hand in hand with the pre orders. Unfortunately not everyone is like us saddo's that read forums and find out whats happening, they will just want a card.

It may be too late for future Launches, there will be a lot that won't order from here again. If you have a load of idiots willing to pay £700 each for a card then there is a good chance they spend a lot more on other stuff, alienating them is not good for business and thats what makes this even more crazy.

AWFUL

Just seen Gibbo's update on the Inno3D 3080s... I wasn't in any rush for the card but right now the only reason I can see not to cancel is that the price I've already paid is locked in. Can only see them going up in the short to medium term. Still... pretty disappointing.

Great questions. Why can't this crap company provide reasonable detail to customers stuck waiting for near 7 weeks now?

Nah don't believe the hype. The "Large" delivery that was supposed to be shipping to OCUK on 23rd October vanished into the night. No updates. None shipped.
Now there is a "very large" delivery due this week. ********.

Heresy!!!

Our Glorious and Invincible Leader Kim Jong-Gibbo speaks only the truth. If the leaders says it, it must be true.

If you've been here a few weeks you soon realise that ocuk's customer service leaves a LOT to be desired :( - They should take a look at how their competitors are doing. Especially now that the bubble of cash they're holding on pre-orders is shrinking along with their customer base as almost everyone is now looking elsewhere for their cards.

Eagle delivery also vanished.

Or at least that's what they told us.
Its funny how eagles seem to be all over europe this morning and so do visions yet no sign of anything here as yet.

Bizarrely I am hoping the MSI 3080 trio is just shy of my 250ish position so I can see what AMD reviews are like and I can jump ship to another retailer if I feel its the better card for me.

In which case it is your right to cancel and ask for your money back.

To you and to all other "Don't like it, cancel" muppets.

If a company states ETA's as they did when many of us ordered and many of us ordered a card that we actually didn't prefer based on those ETA's, so we already lost money on ordering more expensive card due to implied availability, were forced to pay next day delivery rate that's ridiculously expensive in it self. When they damn well knew, it will be weeks at best, months at worse when they send the cards to costumers, they should at least refund those to everyone.

If you'd pre-ordered a new TV from Currys with ETA of tomorrow, you kept on getting fobbed of with pathetic information and told to come to your local shop to pick it up every few days and than discover it was a "mistake", "miscommunication", or some other nonsense, but kinda always made you feel like it was your fault and not theirs and that went on for more than a month. If than someone told you, you can cancel, so what's the problem, I'm pretty sure it would make your blood boil.

So in summary, yes you can cancel any time and yes the 3080 shortages are everywhere and OCUK isn't really responsible for that, but to imply that they behaved and still behave in a professional manner, because you can cancel anytime makes it all ok, is not only ridiculous, but also insulting. Detach your lips from OCUK's ass and look around you for a bigger picture.

Did not need weeks, it was obvious after the first week, the Queue emails only exist because of the pressure they got from here.
Any competent company would have had stuff like that in place as a matter of course for normal business in case of issues in supply.
