*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Working on it isn't quite good enough though (just another in the long line of excuses), it's been 6 weeks and it works hand in hand with the pre orders. Unfortunately not everyone is like us saddo's that read forums and find out whats happening, they will just want a card.

It may be too late for future Launches, there will be a lot that won't order from here again. If you have a load of idiots willing to pay £700 each for a card then there is a good chance they spend a lot more on other stuff, alienating them is not good for business and thats what makes this even more crazy.

I've given up on them making any meaningful changes to their process for this launch, but I hope at least they realise that they really need to make them for the future, if not I suspect there are structual/managerial issues that are far deeper than we are currently seeing. I'm honestly not convinced that this batch of issues will taint future launches for them, people have short memories, and most will likely continue to try to order on every even vaguely reputable site they can till an order goes through. And for non-launch items they will still go for wherever has the best deal. But multiple worse than competitor launches over a couple of years might build a reputation that sticks. And while I don't care in particular about OC's viability as a company, losing any of the bigger players in the UK market just shrinks our options as consumers. We want them biting at each others toes so that they give us better offers, not sitting happy knowing they win either way.

It's funny how I look all around Europe day after day and not seen those EAGLE anywhere. Must be ones from china i gotten deggo not Gigabyte ones.
you're looking in the wrong place then :) - If you're in the telegram or discord groups you can look back and see what notifications were sent. Nothing lasts long but they keep popping up. This morning is no exception. A 3080 vision which is supposed to be the rarer card seems to be everywhere except here recently.

Prices are quite high if looking to buy from european etailers but the stock is moving there. Id still probably wait till something comes up in the uk which im sure it will before oc gets decent amounts.

The gigabyte cards (and many others thay dont appear to get delivered to ocuk) are available elsewhere. oc has to be doing something wrong to not get more stock. Heck their parent company "should" be hooking them up (maybe that was their hope?) but nobody seems to be sending oc much more than a small amount. Only a couple of times we've had ok amounts of things. It doesn't instill confidence going forward or for anybody daft enough to still consider oc for future purchases. ;)

I’m hoping this isn’t the case.

I'm only reading into what he's said of course, but neither the Large or Small batches he intially mentioned have arrived yet and would be due around this week. So it sounds like the most likely scenario to me - but only the almighty Gibbo knows the real truth!

I just love how competitor is giving daily updates on their deliveries and stock situation. Strange fact, competitor is getting EVGA/GIGABYTE cards on 30th October and 2nd November while OCUK is not getting a single card. How is that possible?

I phoned OC last week and asked if they were actually gonna get any EVGA Black editions or should I just cancel, told him I didnt mind waiting a bit longer if I knew they were coming. He just said they didn't know when the initial delivery was coming then said nothing else really.

As much as I am happy to see the MSI update (even though I am 71 in the 3080 Ventus). I wanted to share this email I got with regards to the low numbers of shipments they were getting. One part of the email stood out to me, I didn't reply because I thought while she was honest... others at OCUK have said differently.

I'm a bit worried about ordering from OCUK again. Too many mixed messages

Interesting email....hopefully the lady in question won't have a tea and no biscuits discussion over her honesty....:(

I've cancelled my inno3d x4 order. The guy on the phone couldn't have cared less and wasn't interested in providing any update on the stock situation so this will be the last time I order something through Overclockers or an inno3d product if I can possibly avoid it.

Ultimately if they don't care then neither do I so I'll take my business elsewhere. Good luck fellas.

Ateek Walia got off phone to OCUK 30 mins ago and has advised..

"THERE ARE NO x3/x4 3080s as of now as the CHIPS DONT EXIST, however an order of 200 has been placed, fat load of good that will do".

Just guessing by the "asus are still flagging behind", that anybody in the queue for a card will be more likely spotting a leprechaun riding a unicorn than receiving a card this year.

Seriously, what the **** are asus doing. Are they putting effort into AMDs products and simply ignoring Nvidia?

I feel sorry for the communication shown above. Not fair on the OCUK staff member who clearly has not been briefly correctly by her management in allocation handling and delivery management.

On another note, the email itself has so many contradictions compared to what was communicated in the forums, I don’t know where to begin and just give up doing so.

This episode has shown an incompetence I never thought I would see from OCUK.

yeah, waiting for a VERY LARGE or two shipments of asus cards...

"....we are in the best possible position to acquire it before every other UK retailer. This means the only place to preorder right now is at Overclockers UK!"

The second half is definitely true. OCUK is literally the only place where you can preorder right now. I doubt that anyone who knows the length of the queues would pre-order a 3080 from OCUK at this time. Some queues may be approaching the total number of outstanding 3080 pre-orders for certain other retailers. Nobody outside OCUK knows. But they refrain from telling new customers their queue position until they've parted with their money and had to wait a little while. It's a dodgy business practice if you ask me.

If OCUK wants to keep pre-orders open, they should be upfront about queue sizes and shipment numbers. Other retailers can provide this information. And if it were true that "[OCUK] are in the best possible position to acquire [3080s] before every other UK retailer.", that data can only put OCUK in a positive light.

What do you mean "the chips don't exist"? They use the same chips provided by Nvidia as all the other cards use
