NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080Ti to be "available" on June 3rd, RTX 3070Ti on June 10th

They're only bad for miners.

My 3090FE sits happily at 65C core and 96C VRAM playing CP2077 at 4K with RTX Insane settings. That’s with an OC on the core and VRAM too.

Unlucky all those that didn’t get your card today, but I’m sure there will be another drop soon.

Get it under water and drop those temps by 20c even when mining at 115mhs.

Gaming goes lower still so should be hardly stressing the card at all.

Just seen a retailer selling a Palit 3090 for £2599 . Unbelievable!

Palit is meant to be the cheapest / closest to nvidia's price too.

I'm sitting stuck with my Gigabyte Windforce 1080 Ti that I managed to get for £719 back when it was on this week only - and 2 weeks after I bought it it went up to £999.

It still runs everything except ray traced games at least, though atm I'm binging on Maplestory after getting a craving to play it again.

I have skimmed through the last 15-20 pages on here and can see a few were successful, some disappointed.

So now the dust has settled (and I have been outside DIY'ing all day) what was the conclusion from todays successful launch ?
Did anyone manage to bag a 3080ti whether FE or AIB ?
Did we see thousands of 3080ti's for sale because "Nvidia have held 3080 chips back" ? (noticed 3080ti have been completely removed from one e-tailer not OCUK btw)
I see OCUK plan to come up with a solution to serve their customer base the best like recently with forum announcement releases so some good news for people there.

More importantly did anyone get a card they wanted ?

Glad a few people managed to get lucky but a strange launch with regards to having to refresh the page and hope to get lucky with seeing a purchase option for the FE.

From what I understand the certain retailer (you couldn’t buy direct from NV) only released a few FE at a time and those lucky enough to refresh and be given the option to add to basket was more luck than anything. I never saw the option even at 14:05 refreshing constantly until 14:45 where others were able to put successful orders in at gone 14:30.

I’ll probably see how long it is before next 3080Ti/3090 FE stock. Which ever comes first I’ll likely buy.

This place loves crazy conspiracy theories.

Another recent one, "hardly any 3080s for sale because the majority of the dies are being used to make the more expensive 3090s" :D

Looks to me that there are plenty enough cards to go round, just that they are being scalped. Just go on they bay and you will find any card you want , all scalped. Doesn't help when retailers are in on it as well. £2.6k for a Palit 3090, that's some people's rent for a year.

I mean, EuroGamer claim that Nvidia themselves say that they've been stockpiling chips to make these over others

The official answer from Nvidia is binning: chips come off the production line with different levels of quality, and get sorted into different 'bins' based on the performance that each particular bit of silicon is capable of achieving. For the GA102 GPU that lies at the heart of the 3080, 3080 Ti and 3090, the lower tier parts turn into 3080s, better parts into the 3080 Ti and the best of all into the 3090 - and they've been holding onto these middle-tier parts to deploy the long-planned 3080 Ti for some time now.

Im kicking myself for missing the other FE drops that followed. Assumed it was all over. I imagine they were maybe at least possible to grab given the 60 70 and 80 all dropped.

Its the scalping, people just need to stop giving in and paying over the RRP, even paying an inflated price for used cards is crazy

Me too tbh. Missed the second drop as was driving, soon as I was able to check (14 mins after notification) everything was cleaned out.

£400 extra for 5 FPS Boost in 4K Games ! LMAO No thank you

At my local store some 3080ti are cheaper than 3080 and the 3080ti stock eta for order is 10 days while 3080 lead time is 4 months.

maybe you guys in the uk have really cheap 3080 and lots of stuck I dunno, but not for me - buying the 3080 no longer makes any financial or logistic sense
