Same shipping notification, was 19th in queue. What PSU's are you guys using with your Strix 3090 OC given the possibility of higher power draw with this card? I have just taken delivery of a Corsair HXi Series HX1000i 1000W '80 Plus Platinum and now thinking I should have gone for a 1200 or 1600w. Planning to use a Ryzen 5950x when released.

I have a Corsair HX850i, rest of my system hardly draws any power, my current 2080ti pulls 320-350w from the wall, overall system under-load from wall pulls 430w currently, so my PSU should be just fine, if not, i'll buy a new one.

I have an 8086k @ 5ghz, but its only running at 1.215v, so it hardly pulls anything (yay for lottery)

I used to use the Corsair AX1200i, but it caused too much coil wine on my 1080 Ti SLI setup so went with the AX1500i which eliminated it. Ill be using the AX1500i on mine also with a 5950X

I'll be using mine with a Corsair RM850x. This review was done on a 850W PSU and they had no issues whatsoever.

I can see why you'd do that. As you say, unless an update to this "XOC" BIOS sees the EVGA cards doing as well as the other brands then EVGA have massively shot themselves in the foot. It's supposedly a beta, so I'll be interested to see if they fix it.

It does seem strange that the bios works on every other makes board as intended at 500W. Also people have flashed the Asus 480W bios onto their FTW3 ultra card and hit the same 450W limit. I definitely think its a hard wired board issue and not fixable in another bios.

I think some cards blip over the 450W mark and it can allow that sometimes but other card manufacturers are getting a solid constant 500W pull with the bios with peaks up to 530W. No EVGA card is yet to come close to that unless you have shunt modded it.

That was enough for me to removed a FTW3 Ultra 3090 in stock from my basket. That and the fact no waterblocks are due this side of xmas.

have you looked into
OPtimus block
or Watercool

The company Watercool had a vote which GPU should get a waterblock.
The winner was FTW3.
