*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3090 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

My KFA2 3090 SG arrived today. Also, it's not as chonky as I was expecting (that's an NZXT 510!)

Excellent temps. and running a little OC of +150 Core +1250 Mem. Need to stress test, but I've had no crashes yet from several runs of Port Royale.

So best case scenario overclockers received two Asus Strix OC's in the past week. Worst case, two people who were ahead of you cancelled their orders. The way the queue is moving right now I predict I'll have a card by March.....

I've dropped from 4th last week to 2nd this week for a Strix OC
Fingers crossed for something next week.
Seems the only reason people are moving in the queue is because the people before them are cancelling. Something is very very off about this whole situation. How can they say they are not getting the stock when nearly every other retailer get a few in each week that are available to buy straight away.

I wouldn't be surprised if Asus have delayed the Strix on purpose to sort out the issues some units seem to be having like mine had ( buzzing fans ) rather than just keep knocking them out the door and have half of them returned via RMA later due to problems... defiantly needed more quality control going on at Asus as mine was making the exact same sound as this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T1e8GQmGWxc&ab_channel=HiZeY Just waiting on my replacement and praying the new one doesn't have the same fault

Haha i have a EK block and backplate sitting here for when the new one arrives so same as you will be going straight under water after i check the fans aren't noisy which will take 2 seconds in msi ab :D , i did think long and hard about keeping the original card as i knew it was going in a block BUT i want the thing to be absolutely perfect if air cooled or water cooled so if i were to sell it in 2 years time i would happily be able to pass a working card on to the next person and know that the fans are knackered and buzzing plus for the price we are paying this just should not be happening at all:o:)

I'm also putting mine under water but.. I don't know if I'd return it for fans after a two month wait unless they could guarantee a quick swap.

yeah was a hard one for sure especially when i was playing games on it for 2 weeks solid and loving that 4k framerate , even got to sample coldwar running on the new dlss mode and was absolutely stunning... i miss it a loads :( but after speaking with OC i was assured once the rma was checked and found to be faulty ( which it has and was ) then a replacement card would be sent out to me as soon as stock arrives and as until now there was roughly 10 a week delivered i decided to take my chances... a week later and I'm still here with no 3090 strix and waiting patiently again, got 2 email queue update 1 last week saying I'm 450 in queue  and another today say 404 but have been told to ignore these as mines due to an rma so i will get one as soon as they are in .. we shall see :)

Same for the competitor this week, seems asus haven’t shipped any this week, which stinks
It's not just UK suppliers having a problem, I watched a JayzTwoCents video the other day and he was saying a major supplier in Canada has exactly the same problem that Overclockers is having. They're just not receiving the stock to be able to ship to people wanting them.
Am I going to cancel? No. It'll get here when it gets here. And by the looks of this post

Jesus christ !!! Asus Strix 3090 OC from 43 to 41 .... which means not a single of these cards arrived this week!!! and we had 2 cancelations... F..k This!

at least the first 41 people in the queue are waiting as well. And in all honesty, do I want to give up my position here to go join another queue elsewhere? Not really. Updates or not, I'm in a good place. I don't need my card right now. I've not sold my old one in preparation. Why stress about it. I like Overclockers, I like their site, any contact with them, I've been happy with. At the end of the day, it's not OC's that are at fault, it's Nvidia themselves that have revved the hype-engine so much and then not delivered the support and hardware to their AIB vendors till the last minute. This failure, entirely of Nvidia's making filters down to the AIB's and then in turn to the shops that don't have the stock.
Yes they've got my money, but so what? I've got a secured purchase. It'll come when it comes (that's what she said).

People moan at OC's, they moan at the AIB's when all their ire should be aimed at Nvidia for royally screwing the launch up.

Aye, well for sure I won't be buying the 4090 from here, gibbo is a like a double glazing salesman saying only here is where you get the most stock, load of rubbish.

I know how you feel dude.

But at least you will get the card you want in the end.
