Just received my 3090 FE, it boosts to 2Kmhz and doesn't go over 55c, AIB cards are dead Nvidia just killed them with a decent cooler.
55c at full load, is that fan on full afterburner ? - what's it idle at?

Not sure about that. My GigaByte Aorus Xtreme (3 fans 4 slot) hits over 2100 at light loads and 1960ish at max load (BEFORE overclocking). With a waterblock front and back I expect well over 2000MHz full load.
Value for money, you're probably right.
Is it actually worth the expense to cancel my 3080 order and go for a 3090, so I can have a Nvidia card this side of Christmas? My use cases are mostly gaming.
Over 300000 USD in MSI 3090s stolen in China today.
RIP
We can expect to see one of their daughter companies selling these at markup by tomorrw
Both are halo products for enthusiasts who just want the best the company offers. Neither make sense economically for the price to performance when compared to the stepped down cards.
I would have liked the 6900 XT to be better when it comes to raytracing and features in general (DLSS equivalent etc) but it's not to be this generation, maybe next generation. I am pleased that AMD has delivered something competitive for rasterisation at-least. We need competition, the prices we had last generation with the 2080 Ti showed us that.
I think NVIDIA thought the 6800 XT would be more competitive than it has been. It's fast in rasterisation, competes with the 3080 well there but it doesn't perform anywhere close to the 3000 series in raytracing and I think had NVIDIA known that they would have priced the 3080 another $100-$150 more than they did, so it just goes to show the power of competition I still think the RTX 3080 FE is at a great price point, heck it costs less than I paid for my GTX 1080 Ti FE back in the day by £50 and we still talk about how well that card was priced to this day.
And so the wait for my RTX 3090 continues
yes please give us some good news or any news...@Gibbo are we expecting Strix RTX 3090 OC anytime before 18th Dec? As per ROG’s Twitter stating cards will be shipping in. As it had been nothing for last two weeks, update on this would be nice.
This really bugs me when people use FPS % gains and align with % increase in £ for just the GPU.
If you want to use that formula shouldn't everyone get a 1660 super? Or better still CPU onboard graphics 100fps in CSGO for 0% £.
You think someone short on money would say the RTX 3080 FE is at a great price point? You have to remember the value of money is relative to how much you have.
Obviously I was talking with relation to other graphics cards only.
