*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3090 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

55c at full load, is that fan on full afterburner ? - what's it idle at?

55c at full load with standard fan curve so would be about 55-60% fan speed, the card idles at 23-24c. It runs a lot cooler than the Zotac AMP Extreme 1080Ti it replaced.

I'm sure it will run hotter in the summer but compared to previous FE/Reference Nvidia cards this cooler is extremely good and you would have to be bonkers to even consider any AIB card without a serious factory OC and with the current prices you would be spending an extra £300+ for an inferior card because it's well know Nvidia keep the best chips for it's own cards.

Not sure about that. My GigaByte Aorus Xtreme (3 fans 4 slot) hits over 2100 at light loads and 1960ish at max load (BEFORE overclocking). With a waterblock front and back I expect well over 2000MHz full load.
Value for money, you're probably right.

I get over 2100 on my 3090 FE and still under 60 degrees with only 60% fan curve.

Over 300000 USD in MSI 3090s stolen in China today.
RIP

We can expect to see one of their daughter companies selling these at markup by tomorrw

Oh god thank god my store has them in stock otherwise knowing my luck there wouldve been a shortage n id have to cancel again like here. I have not heard much about the trio and I paid 100 more than I paid for the strix so what you guys think, have I been robbed? Im jus so happy its finally coming

Just discovered that the centre fan on my Aorus Extreme isn't running even at high temperatures. Proved by GPU-Z. Almost same drive level as outer fans, but zero rpm. 'spinning it' doesn't help. I've raised a query with GigaByte and don't really want to return for a refund given how scarce the better cards are. I currently have it on a test bench with a 120mm fan blowing through the centre for testing.

So it looks like all the AMD fanboys were wrong us 3090 owners still have the fastest graphics card AMD fanboys were getting giddy about the 6900xt its a bit rubbish its slower and has no good features.

The 3090 is still not a good option unless you don't care about the cost, The 6900XT just doesn't make sense in any situation it's certainly not worth it over a 3080 or 6800XT and if you have money to burn why would you buy it over a 3090 and lose out on DLSS and Raytracing as well as a poorer performance at 4K

Both are halo products for enthusiasts who just want the best the company offers. Neither make sense economically for the price to performance when compared to the stepped down cards.

I would have liked the 6900 XT to be better when it comes to raytracing and features in general (DLSS equivalent etc) but it's not to be this generation, maybe next generation. I am pleased that AMD has delivered something competitive for rasterisation at-least. We need competition, the prices we had last generation with the 2080 Ti showed us that.

I think NVIDIA thought the 6800 XT would be more competitive than it has been. It's fast in rasterisation, competes with the 3080 well there but it doesn't perform anywhere close to the 3000 series in raytracing and I think had NVIDIA known that they would have priced the 3080 another $100-$150 more than they did, so it just goes to show the power of competition I still think the RTX 3080 FE is at a great price point, heck it costs less than I paid for my GTX 1080 Ti FE back in the day by £50 and we still talk about how well that card was priced to this day.

And so the wait for my RTX 3090 continues :D

@Gibbo Any update you can provide on the non MSI or 3080 cards specifically 3090 Asus? I assume at this point anybody waiting who's SKU wasn't on todays list shouldn't expect to see see their card this side of xmas or 2020 even?

This really bugs me when people use FPS % gains and align with % increase in £ for just the GPU.

If you want to use that formula shouldn't everyone get a 1660 super? Or better still CPU onboard graphics 100fps in CSGO for 0% £.

You think someone short on money would say the RTX 3080 FE is at a great price point? You have to remember the value of money is relative to how much you have.

@Gibbo are we expecting Strix RTX 3090 OC anytime before 18th Dec? As per ROG’s Twitter stating cards will be shipping in. As it had been nothing for last two weeks, update on this would be nice.

Obviously I was talking with relation to other graphics cards only.
