*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3090 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Yeah same as ordered 2x EK angled on Sunday and shipped yesterday 1st class, still not arrived. Christmas post now meaning a little delay, hope will arrive tomorrow.

Damn Strix 3080 OC coming in not 3090, we might be in for a surprise I hope. As really like to have it before Xmas

Ive got my msi trio, its now in my pc and tbh its great n all but not mind blowing, I mean im really fussy, all my games run flat out so I cant complain but rtx and dlss, not overly impressed, I was just expecting more. Im still testing tho so its not my final thoughts on the matter. 110-120 fps with rtx and dlss with everything on full in Contact at 2560x1440

cyberpunk installed but gotta play on my 7700k and 1080 ti as my new rig with 1900k is still missing my 3090 strix .... 1st world problems but this taking the ****.... guess i can compare both rigs when gpu gets here

Would be nice to get an update from asus themselves as to why they have hundreds of pre orders with no sign of any cards being delivered.

Absolutely agreed!
I chase them regular but so far we are not scheduled any 3090 Strix OC or none OC, even though between the two we have near 1000 back orders.
However Asus did ship 30pc 3080 Strix OC today to us which were not on any of schedules, all we have scheduled was 8pc due next week, but now 30pc is shipping from supplier, so no idea if this is a random 30 out of blue or the 8 have changed to 30 but were not complaining either way, more is always better.

Unbelievable! Impossible to plan for with info like that.

Just out of curiosity....When you say they shipped from the supplier, where is the supplier and how are they transiting?

Are cards still coming via air freight, or are we waiting for container ships?

I think the usual journey of an Asus card goes something like this:
Air freight from Taiwan to Netherlands HUB.
Netherlands HUB to UK distributor either by air or truck.
Distributor to reseller by next day courier.

Then factor in the man time, man power between all the above, booking stock into warehouse, then booking stock out of warehouse, booking couriers etc.

People are forgetting these are not single parcels that are turned around in 1-3 days these are huge palit shipments, or potentially containers and the shipping alone to organise and then to actually arrive can take weeks, even months, obviously the latter is not case with components in general as they are too price volatile and too sensitive to currency to be sitting in a container on a boat for weeks.

Sea shipments take 4-6 weeks but the ports right now are in total chaos and customs over run and with BREXIT incoming it is a total mess about to happen, but that is next years problem.

I was reading about shipping container shortages earlier, we could be in for a really rough ride next year!

Thanks for the info, A little goes a long way in helping to understand the issues

Right now it seems to get worse every week, BREXIT is just a disaster and can see it being a case of 2020 Covid caused havoc but reshaped how consumers shop online and 2021 will be BREXIT creating havoc, we are somewhat hopeful that are Asian shipments will be disrupted less but yes the container shortages and port issues are causing problems at the moment.

Its getting to the point where many companies at the moment simply don't want to do business as they are too busy and cannot secure any more shipment slots this year. I was trying to bring some items in from USA and they apologised and requested if I can wait until next year, so the whole world is getting hammered at moment online and shipment companies.

it’s madness after ASUS’s Twitter last week as ASUS were standing tall and telling UK that cards are on way, turn out not again after the “ramp up” statement. Just hope they will at least ship 30 Strix 3090 OC as we had nothing for 3 weeks now.

@Gibbo just annoyed as there were few times that stores in Europe have it in stock and I could brought it but all my money were in pre-order and don’t want to lose my position as am being hopeful that it’ll come. This is one I don’t blame on OcUK at all it’s just how ASUS deal with things.

Hello quick question.

If i was to preorder one of the RTX 3090s you have listed for pre order at the moment, how likely would it be that it'll arrive before Christmas?

Thanks.

Well guys I was 900 in rog strix OC que, managed to snag a Gigabyte OC 3090 from a competitor, I wish you all the best of luck in getting your card before christmas, and hope you all have a good one! And for those wondering I used a stock informer discord channel to pick it up, but you have to be super quick they literally sell within 40 seconds, so you need trigger fingers and also the 3080’s only come every other day and always an MSI Ventus, but 3090’s are more common :)

I ordered a 3090 msi ventus on tuesday and now it's been dispatched! Hold in there guys and girls. I think this proves that if there was stock when you bought it then it's definately in stock.

I see 3090s Asus OC are still coming in at... near nothing.

Brexit... I assume Overclockers will take the hit if cards arriving from 1st Jan 2021 are being charged extra for duty etc...
- as everyone who has prepaid won't be charged extra

Guys do you think these 3090s need to have some sort of a gpu bracket, mine is delivered tomoro and im getting a bit worried about this, should I buy one, use lego, support it close to the bracket with the gpu bracket that come with my case, what would you do if at all?
the answer is it’s not nessasary, especially with ASU’s cards as there frame and back plate stop any chances of sagging what card you got
