*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3090 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

This is going to be 4th week of no Strix delivery if it didn’t come through. Think ASUs Twitter is so madness, it’s harder for me as I’m at 17 in the queue along with Strix block being here too.

I've always assumed our current deals to the rest of the world are via EU... that's why if we leave and have no deal, UK needs to do deals with each non-EU country ASAP...

So any extra import costs will be a factor on all these prepaid orders here
- probably overclockers are aware since cards are so much more than the RRP...

You are completely right , This is what people who voted Brexit don't understand. The EU traded as one super block and we got all the advantages of that. The UK trading alone is a much much smaller market and will get far poorer deals. But still it will mean all those foreigners won't be able to come in and get free healthcare and benefits cause that was the real problem not 10 years of austerity

It’s weird when going to Nvidia website for the AIB it always shows OcUK being the one to go to.

maybe it’s on way to OcUK too I hope as 40 at other place is a lot while their queue numbers are much smaller.

For the 3090 Asus cards that does seem to be the case with Nvidia recommending Overclockers BUT in reality we have had very little Asus cards come through compared to the competitor ... for example I'm sure when this all kicked off their preorders for the 3090 Strix was around the 400 figure now they are down to a double digit figure of 78 while my last queue update from here was showing 363 ( although this is a place holder for me apparently as i should be 1st in line for an rma replacement ) so still a lot of people waiting inline ... if i remember right the original 3090 strix queue here was around the 550 figure so basically not a lot of stock has come to OC for what ever reason and competitor seems to be getting priority from either Asus or Nvidia ... What makes this worse is that i had a strix in my basket on release day with the competitor but decided to go with OC as i honestly thought they would have a good flow of stock and be able to secure a good amount of cards... feeling rather mugged off currently:rolleyes::mad:

I think they had 450 total ASUS 3090 orders.

I started off 252nd for the Strix OC, as of today, I'm 59, with 72 total outstanding, so depending on how many cancellations they've had, I was always towards the back of their strix OC queue, so I guess they maybe had around 300 total orders for that card.

I wouldn't like to guess how many have been cancellations rather than deliveries, to get the total down to 70

Yeah you were nowhere near the back, I had 476 for the Strix OC and I have seen people say 500-600, your starting position is still ahead of my current position, there have been very little cards, it is mostly cancellations, the week of there being 11 cards I moved 60 places

Ah i just remember it being around the 400 figure when they put up their preorder list and did wonder how quickly they would mange to get though that lot ( quicker than here it seems:eek:) ... my original position here at oc was very good as i got in pretty early and was 38th inline for my original order, once the small amount of deliveries started to roll in ( 10 a week:rolleyes: ) i got mine on the 3rd or 4th batch which i was initially happy with until it turned out i was sent a dud ( not oc fault ) so had to be rma it  i thought deliveries would have started coming through thick and fast but no quite the opposite and as soon as my RMA was accepted deliveries just stopped and nothing has come through since

My new order number put me to the back of the queue although this is just a place holder but still if I'm the last in line that still means 362 are waiting here for the strix and as for cancellations there have been 64 since 20th November as i was 426 then and no cards have come in since

Have OC upset someone at Nvidia or Asus and been made to sit on the naughty step like Hardware Unboxed were this week ? :D

As of the last update on December 11th I had reached position 278 in the Strix OC queue, down from 500 when I ordered. I suspect very few cards have been received and the queue change is all down to cancellations.

Sorry, this was with a competitor, not OCUK

I'm position 278 down from 500 and last update on December 11th. Where did you get your figure of 70 from?

International purchases don't work like that. The transit country acts as a bonded port and taxes and duties are applied in the destination country.
Brexit should be irrelevant to a product manufactured outside the EU.

I ordered a Gigabyte on Friday. Web store definitely said it was in stock and took me to the buy button rather than pre-order, but still nothing has shipped. My order is still being processed. More worryingly another order for different stuff I placed after this has been shipped.
Guess I’m stuck in a pre-order queue now. Might cancel

After being in a queue for a Non OC Strix 3090 I cancelled my order a couple of weeks ago. Managed to get lucky with a certain very large online retailer who listed an EVGA FTW3 due to be in stock on the 14th. Placed my order on the 4th and got it by the 11th. Dead chuffed, it's a cracking card. Have to give props to OCUK for processing my cancellation and refund so quickly so don't be afraid to shop around and see if you can snag yourself one elsewhere.

Whilst the stock is so pitifully poor to come by, I can see everything getting swallowed by scalpers.

Some competitors show the number of users currently viewing an item and there's never less than 15 people checking some items... even at 3am

I've even seen evidence of people signing up to this forum and attempting to run scripts to scalp cards! Yay!

Our company buys from Brazil and it's ~4-5% duty for our goods... that 4% is surely within an EU deal... when we're no longer in the EU and it's a no deal, then the UK will be on WTO with the whole world

Anyways, since cancelling my order here I couldn't help but look for a RTX 3090... and randomly I found a UK site, which was not listed in any of those "stock" sites... it had a MSI TRIO X 3090 in stock... price was in line with RRP, so I clicked on it but I was on hold as there was a kind of waiting thing on it... managed to order it yesterday and it's arrived just now... :)

1 less worry about extra duties (prob nil or miniscule) on a card that I planned to buy next year.

and good luck on the deliveries for all who are holding on... really hope that some explosion of stock arrives before Christmas for y'all.

and yes... I thought it was strange that Nvidia's site always directed to Overclockers but seems like Overclockers has the least deliveries :I
