*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3090 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

I didn't think OCUK could get any worse, but I ordered a Noble Hero Real Leather Gaming Chair and I just received the fake PU leather one. I despair!
Let's see if they answer the webnote and ship the correct item, otherwise I am done with them, especially after the Strix 3090 OC fiasco.
Just spoken to OCUK customer service. They're collecting the incorrect chair tomorrow but wouldn't ship the correct one (their mistake) until they had received the incorrect one back. Simply unbelievable, so I cancelled and also told them to cancel my Strix 3090 OC order at the same time. They seemed pleased to cancel the Strix order so anyone who doesn't have an existing order is likely to be charged a crazy markup. I'll stick with my Aorus Xtreme and wait for the waterblock to be available. It's the same spec.

OCUK used to offer great customer service, but I couldn't recommend them to anyone now!

If you were above 266 in the queue last email then you've just moved up a place.

Fairly standard unfortunately

I had similar with the competition with a motherboard. Point blank refused to send out a replacement until they received the old one back. Took over a week to get the replacement by the time they’d gone through the RMA process

I can understand that if the motherboard failed on you as I was perfectly happy to return an OC Bundle that didn't work for them to sort out.
With an order where they shipped the wrong item, and arranged pickup for tomorrow, they could have delivered the correct item when they (DPD) collected the old. That's what O2 do with faulty phones under contract.

my motherboard and been opened (seal on the box was cut) and the IO shield was bent at an angle on one corner. It was also close to £1000 which was what annoyed me somewhat.

I guess they’re being careful, as in making sure you haven’t swapped the wrong chair into the box yourself......I know, I know, but people do this stuff!

I would have thought shipping containers would have been a better proposition than road freight. Even from main European distibutor to the UK. Container of in Dutch port straight onto a cross chanel container ship would be better than eu distribution from port to storage then road to channel then road thru UK. It could be just a container swap at port. Bad logistics imo

K, I've had an order for a 3090 since dec 10th when there was supposed to be 10+ in stock, since it still hasn't shipped. i'm assuming there was not actually any stock regardless of what the site said? fine, but it's only a few days left to brexit and then i'll be looking at an additional 400+ quid for customs and duty as i'm in Ireland. Anyone know what the situation will be with that? A refund is out as i used 700 quid of vouchers? so bit stuck here. anyone have a clue whats going to happen. Planning on ringing tomorrow again, but had no luck getting in touch so far.

I haven't even opened the box as it says "faux leather" on the outside and has the PU leather code and have pictures showing the condition it arrived in in anticipation of such rubbish. The customer services guy wasn't interested in correcting an obvious dispatch error.
At least my £1700 has been refunded for the 3090 Strix OC (it was paid via Amazon Pay). I doubt I'll see the chair refund this year!

you shouldnt as the cards are not made in the EU

That's not how customs and duty fees work, everything bought outside the EU is subject to customs, import and duty fees.
It's the point of sale that counts not where they are manufactured, otherwise everyone in EU would have to pay duty and customs fees on every pc part or phone as all made outside the EU. after dec31, All UK residents will have to pay customs and import fees on almost everything they buy from outside the UK, and vis versa for anyone in the EU buying from the UK. Unless a Brexit deal is made in the next few days.

Happy boy here, just got email confirming my Strix 3090 OC being shipped. Due to land tomorrow, can’t wait to finish off my rig properly and start playing the games to full.
