I wouldn't call my situation lucky tbh , more of a pita as this is a replacement I am waiting on due to my original card arriving faulty ( buzzing fans ) ... would have rather none of this happened and the original card was good as gold and made no funny noises but No wasn't the case with mine... add to that another months wait for a replacement and I'd say i could actually do with some luck ;)

What Overclockers seriously needs is a weekly drop of at least 50 strix 3090 tbh to get the preoreder numbers down... last Friday there were 363 still waiting on strix which is far to high considering we are 3 months into its launch although with the FE currently being available right now i imagine a few more strix cancellations will be incoming .

yh i have read some people have been getting faulty cards, i hope mine dont arrive like that
 
OK cost me silly money not bothered. From tomorrow it's max everything and RT at 1440p bring it on.

Probably snapped up by those who were waiting for a strix ;) i did seriously consider the swap and had one in the basket earlier .. lucky i didn't now :D in all seriousness the 3090 FE stock seems to drop roughly every 2 weeks and seems to hand about for a few hours once available ....

yeah i was one of them unfortunately:rolleyes: , hoping this one is silent BUT if it is buzzing again i certainly wont be sending it back in again for another round of mental stress and will just stuff it in the waterblock and be done with it :D
 
Ended up cancelling my order and bought from a competitor. Noticed they had 5 in stock.
I raised a web note days and days ago here but no answer still, so I couldn't be bothered waiting anymore.

Crazy times!

yeah so glad, but wondering how long it’ll take to process and ship out. Am hoping it’ll be before Christmas tho, looking forward to complete my rig finally after 3 months of waiting for Strix.
 
Also Gibbo saying update that got pinged on Skype saying 50 Strix OC, wonder if that Skype is from OcUK warehouse or supplier as if warehouse mean we’ll see it sooner compare to supplier. Yeah it’s either there or incoming, tried to catch him yesterday to be clearer on this.
 
I didn't think OCUK could get any worse, but I ordered a Noble Hero Real Leather Gaming Chair and I just received the fake PU leather one. I despair!
Let's see if they answer the webnote and ship the correct item, otherwise I am done with them, especially after the Strix 3090 OC fiasco.
 
Got my KFA2 SG 3090 installed yesterday and it's a beast. A member on the 3090 thread has even put a water block on it go have a look. Demolishes anything my 5700XT did and automatically defers to Ultra in every game/benchmark and beats my 5700XT which was between medium/high. Absolutely loving it TBH at 1440p and it even plays very nice with my freesync monitor in G-sync compatibility mode. I have a frame counter enabled on the screen and it syncs perfectly. Happy days. Off until 4th January so lots of fun ahead.

Lots of 3090's available if you want to nab a card before Xmas. You just have to look.
