*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3090 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

I’m waiting on the GPU, monitor and keyboard left. That’s it. Can’t get the keyboard till the monitor arrives as they won’t ship half orders, so even if I was home. It wouldn’t matter anyway.

Almost there then! :)
I've had my 5950x land recently - just the 3090 to go.

I'm holding out on a new monitor until the 3090 arrives - I'm hoping the LG 27GP950 will be available by then, if not I'm going to grab myself an LG CX oled I think.

What monitor you guys planning to run your 3090s with?

As soon as Nvidia has stock of the 3090 FE I will probably buy 2 if them and sell the strix for £2800 as seems people have no issues paying this for a single 3090:rolleyes: ... I would love to try out some benchmarks and a few games in sli... would have liked a 2nd strix but not at the price they are being sold for on here :o

4090 will be starting at £2500 at this rate .....

Wouldn't a binned 3090 with increased power limits by better in most cases than 2x3090FEs in SLI anyway?

That's a benchmark I'd love to see :D

I’m waiting for the LG 27GN950-B to come into stock, but it’s been mentioned that the LG 27GP950 stock will be available first for those still waiting on there GN’s pre orders. so I’ll be on either of those monitors. Kind of hoping to jump onto the GP for the HDMI 2.1 as I’ll be using console and PC.

well if the games don't support sli ( lots of them ) then will be very very little difference between the 2 cards ( Strix / FE ) in game, maybe looking at an extra couple fps ( talking single digit ) increase and a lot more heat to deal with due to the power increase with the Strix. Benchmarks is where you will see a benefit from the extra power from the strix BUT the FE is still extremally capable of benchmarking as well ... An FE is currently sitting in 1st place on the OC Port Royal leader board. If the games support SLI ( not many:p) then no the 2 3090FE will be much better than a single strix and again in benchmarking would blow away a single strix :D

If someone is crazy enough to offer me £2400 for a single Strix i think i could be persuaded to pull it out the PC and replace it with them 2 FE cards ;)

Does anyone know how it works when they open up pre-orders. Do they have the stock already? is it ordered from the suppliers and on it's way? Or would it just be pure speculation to answer either way?

Nice, good choice! What sort of ETA have you been given?

A 53% price increase for the Strix OC over the FE card for just a fairly small performance bump - I know some people are "desperate" but anyone actually buying this card at this price has more money than sense.

Unfortunately, none. It’s a case of sit tight and wait. On the monitor thread, one of OC’s employees have said that LG have said the stock and shipping hasn’t been good. So due to that. When the new monitor is announced, we will have the option to jump on the monitor, but will have to pay any price difference (which is fair and I’m ok with), then it will go on sale for everyone else.

There are orders due in for March. But it’s a case of seeing if they come through or not.

Bought a 3090 Rog Strix at release and received it last October for £1,699 and I thought I would check back on overclockers to see how much the card costs now. I thought I was hallucinating when I saw if for £2,399 and its out of stock! I can't believe the mark up overclockers are putting on this card and how do overclockers even have customers for these cards with these pricing shenanigans.

Jeez there was an FE drop this morning, sold out instantly. Even the 3090 which usually hangs about for a few hours! Situation is getting worse not better

Turns out my partners friend didn't sell the MSI 3090 and he managed to grab a FE 3090 this morning so I'm going to buy the MSI card off of him for exactly what he paid for it.

Lucky as my 2080 was collected a few minutes ago so I was preparing to be without a GPU for weeks/months.

Not surprising tbh when sane people come here to check the price on 3090's ... 95% will think no thanks and go for the FE . Previously when the FE dropped they hang about for a few hours and I imagine that partly was due to price difference between aib and FE not being that big a jump ( was £300 extra for strix ) now we have a £1000 increase over the FE it just isn't worth it even if mining. Funny how Nvidia still list the strix 3090 oc on their site with its original price of £1699 and also link to overclockers... clearly they haven't been informed of the new overclockers msrp of £2400

I received a replacement card this morning, an Strix OC 3090 (my original had buzzing shroud so i RMA'd it), the brand new one had all the shroud screws all loose and falling off, so back it goes for another month or so not having a GPU.

Complete and utterly p****d off about how bad these cards are and how they are coming out of factory broken.

See my experience here: https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthre...X-3090-Fan-vibration-issues/page14#post828053

That is an utter shambles. I feel for you mate.

Is this coming across all brands or are you just unlucky mate?

Don't blame us. Asus' sell price has gone up by hundreds of pounds since launch, so we have to follow suit. We now have to pay quite a bit more for our stock than the price we sold that card to you. In fact, the NON OC Strix costs us about £200 more now than we originally SOLD the OC for.
