*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3090 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Don't blame us. Asus' sell price has gone up by hundreds of pounds since launch, so we have to follow suit. We now have to pay quite a bit more for our stock than the price we sold that card to you. In fact, the NON OC Strix costs us about £200 more now than we originally SOLD the OC for.

How does it work for you as a business, surely if you pre ordered cards from in this case Asus back in Sept say 10.000 cards at a given price how can they just keep firing up prices, have you not got any sort of protection in the industry when you make large quantities orders like this.
I see the Asus rep has totally vanished from the forums what a surprise, bet he will be back cap in hand once all the gpu mess has crashed and he wants sales :)

I received a replacement card this morning, an Strix OC 3090 (my original had buzzing shroud so i RMA'd it), the brand new one had all the shroud screws all loose and falling off, so back it goes for another month or so not having a GPU.

Complete and utterly p****d off about how bad these cards are and how they are coming out of factory broken.

See my experience here: https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthre...X-3090-Fan-vibration-issues/page14#post828053

This is a genuine shock. I can't say I've had many 30 series Strix cards in my hands but they felt well put together.
I've been working with Asus since before ROG was a glimmer in a marketeer's eye and I can honestly say that Strix cards were my 'go to' got a quality product. I've never seen the likes of this before.

Did you get this card from us?
If so, can you give me an RMA reference, I'd like to follow up on this myself.

Manufacturers don't honour pricing. Pricing is issued as stock arrives. When Gibbo says that we are losing money on every launch day pre-order that we ship now he's not exaggerating. There's a dialogue going on between Gibbo & Nvidia regarding this but, frankly, I'm not hopeful that Nvidia have any power to get the pricing back under control.

As for the local reps, we still talk to them on an almost daily basis but Asus is a typical Taiwanese company with a strict chain of command and these guys are just doing what they are told to do.

That's shocking really as a shop you have no cover from the industry, just shows what a cut throat business it is.
Bought Asus products for years but now I dislike them as a brand and just settled for a FE card.

Nvidia aren't helping matters by essentially "Dumping" stock at below market value direct from their own site with their FE cards.

The whole 30-series lineup needs more stock (unlikely short term), or a 20-40% price lift from nVidia until the market stabilises.

When Gibbo says that we are losing money on every launch day pre-order that we ship now he's not exaggerating.

This sucks for OCUK & us all, shouldn't happen, Nvidia has completely lost control/care of their AIB partners.

I completely agree here, Nvidia make at least 3-4 times more on every card than their AIBs, at least five times what the reseller would usually make, so they can swallow price increases much more easily. They're maintaining their launch RRPs, in my opinion, to justify review results.

I'm hoping that Nvidia and the AIBs can come to some sort of agreement because I realise that MSRP isn't a realistic price for AIBs or resellers, but also the AIB price increases, in some cases, are excessive for sure.

Hey Scott, yes this was a replacement from you guys this morning — brand new and boxed (its a factory issue).

There is a forum post in the support for the RMA (if you have access to that), been ongoing for over a month etc with original, this was the new one I got sent. I spoke to you guys on phone earlier, this card is being picked up Monday to go back to you and im back on the list for a new card again, 3rd time lucky I hope.

Im honestly so disheartened, first card had buzzing shroud so I RMA'd it as I could not live with it any longer. You guys sent it back to supplier, then 30 days later I was told they only offered you guys a refund for it (even though ASUS manager on the Strix forums has said the EU service centre has all parts and still has all parts and replacements for my card ready to go, but they never received it, something fishy going on at your supplier? — i have chat logs if want to read them).

So I got that card this morning as you guys got them in yesterday — and that is what I experienced. So another month or so waiting for a new one :-(

Is there some way I can DM you the RMA details?

I'm going to take a wild stab in the dark based on your forum name, forgive me if I'm wrong, but it would explain everything...you are Irish?

If so, your order is essentially frozen whilst we sort out some VAT & courier issues.
I was under the impression that an email had been sent to all affected customers though.

Long story short despite being VAT registered in Ireland and being told by the Irish revenue service that we can continue as normal, all couriers are refusing to accept shipments to Ireland with VAT included. Therefore all Irish shipments are suspended whilst we rework all of our software to suit them. I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but we are not legally allowed to ship your order in its current state, otherwise you'd be charged VAT twice.

The stock hasn't gone anywhere, it's on hold too.

I'm sure the graphics card are being pushed out at top speed.. has this effected the quality of them? Are you getting many returns? Obviously, faulty cards are not the fault of OcUK. Just interested to know

ScottiB thank you for your reply yes i am from ireland i was not aware that stock was frozen to ireland as no one was replying to my web note's my order did say it was on holed for a while but isn't anymore so i just assumed it was all sorted this explains a lot have you any idea when this hole VAT situation may be resolved again thank you for letting me know

Sorry we are a few days behind on webnotes at the moment. Members of my purchasing team have been helping out to try to catch up but we are still receiving a much larger volume than normal.
