*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3090 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

I guess there has been absolutely no change in que position since the email went out. Just read an article that states no 3080s till 2021. So i guess only a small amount of people will get their cards this year.

Folks at Palit suggested

Hi, one shipment was made last Tuesday and another new shipment will be heading to the UK this Friday. Hopefully local shops will be restocked in the next 2-3 weeks. Cheers!

So I'll try no to think about it for another 15-20 days

Care of a UK distributor, not directly to OC. Check Gibbo's post at 14:57 on the 23 September https://www.overclockers.co.uk/foru...deliveries-how-to-cancel-your-order.18899277/

Sorry new to this forum, this was in response to someone suggesting ASUS shipped directly to OC.

Hopefully you can see the facebook ASUS DIY page but ASUS UK have said they frequently send stock to OC in response to a Strix question.

That statement just reads full of snobbery, given the choice I'd have a FE card over any AIB....I just can't get one. (shame on me I guess).

Ah I didn’t really mean it in a snobbish way. I’m just saying if the last £50 is a concern when you’re already in it for over 1.6 grand maybe a financial mistake is being made.

It’s easy to get swept up in the excitement especially when all these cards are difficult to get. It’s like bidding more than you would on eBay to “win” an item when really it’s not a contest to be won you’re acquiring a good in exchange for money etc

I think the FE card is really great. If I wasn’t going to be watercooling I’d get the FE myself. Save £300 and get what I think is a better looking air cooler etc - I’m not a fan of how the waterblocks for the FE look and would work in my loop is the only reason I’ve not gone that way.

Not referencing the Strix specifically, but I believe OCUK may have separate stock for PC builds (as hinted at above by a forum member).

If you go to the their Custom Gaming PC configurator, you can select a *build stock* Gigabyte 3090 that you can configure.

I think it makes a lot of sense tbh and for all I know (I know absolutely zero about how they operate) the build stock could simply be separate stock that OCUK receive without any retail packaging and therefore is separate from the main consumer deliveries. Maybe almost like a reviewer channel.

As I said though, I know nothing about their system nor the way they operate.

You beat me to it, although admittedly I didn't spot the Gigabyte. If I had ordered the Gigabyte 3090 OC I would be on the phone to them now.

OCUK GPUs for builds comes in stock retail packaging.
There CPUs don't unless specified.
