*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3090 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

More importantly I'm still waiting to here on the yesterdays shipment notification: "Tomorrow a small amount of 3090 and 3080 TUF OC shall arrive."

No updates from people at the front of the Q, were these delivered or was it a different model ? If they came in late yesterday enough time has elapsed for an update.
Good point. What on Earth happened to these?

I only ordered yesterday as I have a 2080Ti and didn't feel the need to upgrade. However, I changed my mind about ordering after seeing the shortages and thought to myself that I will just continue to use my PC and hope that the card arrives before Christmas.

If it doesn't, then I won't lose any sleep but at least I know that my upgrade is coming at some point. Plus I'm waiting on a waterblock, so even if I had the card to hand I wouldn't be able to run it :p
Thinking of doing the same to replace my 1080Ti, but part of me is also holding out to see what AMD come up with at the end of the month. Maybe I'll end up pre-ordering anyway and just cancel if I want to.

What SKU did you pre-order EVH?

I always thought that OCUk was one of the biggest.
Now it turns out they are not or no one wants to sell to them.

I had to go elsewhere to buy my new power supply(1000W) because OCUK haven't got many to chose from.

I've been inside the OcUK warehouse when the moderating team visited. It's bloody impressive! I remember seeing endless numbers of products, do they stock everything? No, I'll always look on the site for what I want first but then that's the beauty of having competition or alternatives.

In terms of the stock... I personally think it's just a storm in a tea cup. Let me explain: everyone sees a competitor send out a few shipments and reacts with "AHMERGERD! OcUK TEH SUCKZ0RZ, WHERE MY GEE PEE YEW???". What happens if a competitor has a great initial batch which then dries up? or if a competitor has lots of small batches and OcUK gets fewer larger shipments, say mid October? ;)

Consumers are notoriously fickle and have short memories.

All true.

But some online shops are getting way more GPUs then OCUK are.
Gibbo has always told us that OCUK will get the cards first...not so.

I would like more info from OCUK.

I don't think that's the case, I simply think there has been a lack of communication.

In either case, I've raised the concerns and some feedback from users with the shop this morning. I do know that they're already in discussion about this and have been since launch (as evident from the queue emails that were sent out).

No opinions. Got it. Hoping you apply this rule equally to all posters. ;)

I mean, look, we may disagree. So what? People disagree. But I'm never going to say 'Hey, stop giving 'unqualified' opinions'. This is forum, for one. Opinions are 99% of what this is. And second, you have no idea what experience I bring to the table, just as I have no idea what experience you have. And it's especially rude when I literally say 'I am not saying I'm right. It's just my opinion based on my experience' to say you don't want to hear it. Chill out man. This is a forum. Sharing opinions is all there is here.

By all means give your opinion but if you are guessing something then say that. A lot of people are making guesses about the delays and it’s hard to filter through fact and conjecture.

Thanks for having a word.

fair enough.....having a quick scan through it does seem like stock levels have come up a bit from when I was looking about a month ago.

the HX 750i i bought about this time last year is still £40-60 more than I paid for it though

Got to that link and you will find the beast power supply makers under a different name.
I bought a EVGA G3 1000W, but it's really a Super Flower lead 2 which is a good PS.

By all means give your opinion but if you are guessing something then say that, that is the point I was making.

I did say that. Specifically I said that very clearly. Here:

"I took that to mean 144 hours is how long it takes to run all of the testing, but it might mean both. Who knows?"

And here:

"That's just my opinion. I'm not saying I'm right."

Perhaps we would all get along better if we took the time to properly read what someone else is saying rather than skim-reading it, deciding we don't like or agree with the general thrust, then ****posting.

Well I'm glad you agree, pleased you've raised this to the shop.

Don't get too excited. Even with Express Air shipping the lag between factory and retailer is a month. Whatever is happening now will be felt in four to five weeks.

That's what you originally wrote. I will ignore your other comments and anyway thanks for distracting me from my two week wait for my card!

I suspect their Queue # script probably puts a strain on the database to run, which is why we're not seeing frequent emails sent out.

Well, to change the mood in this figurative queue we're all lined up in; what will you lot be using your GPU's for? 4k? VR? Rendering?
Personally I'm futureproofing for the next coming years (also, I VR a fair bit); a 3090 seems more than capable of achieving this.

Have a great morning y'all!

I’m a game developer as well as an avid gamer, so I’ll be cranking up the settings on my 1440p ultra wide with raytracing, as well as building virtual house viewings (my day job) and developing my own games, one of which I’m planning to do on VR. My main reason for going for a 3090 is purely futureproofing

4K gaming and hopefully VR soon which I'm pretty excited for. The 3090 will probably be overkill for what I am going to use it for but it will be more future proof at least.
