*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3090 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

im glad i don't have to be in this race anymore. i was over 1k in the queue for ASUS non OC after previously changing from a TRIO that was ordered at launch (gladly and quite rightly started at the back of a new queue)

i was lucky enough to find a 3080 TUF OC from one of the retails in the "rainforest" and the premium of paying £770 for a delivery at end end of October seemed worthwhile for me.

turned out better than hoped as the card is coming from Spain on Friday and today i got codes for watchdogs which i didn't expect at all!

i think going forwards ill avoid the mad rush of pre-ordering new tech from any retailer and just wait until i can grab some without a pre-order (although i did pre-order ps5 at midnight release but that's my sons present for xmas).

whilst i don't blame over clockers entirely as this was a whole **** show from Nvidia, over clockers didn't help their situation either

@MultiDoc it's a shame you sold the 3090 from EVGA as I'm after one of those for my build as my case isn't ideal for the Asus TUF 3090 which I'm number 2 in the queue for.

that’s unfortunate indeed but there’s no place in this forum for such “advertisements” from members (which personally I don’t understand, it’s from what I gather only accessible if a member has a specific insanely high number of posts), otherwise I would have posted this here.
Anyway, at least it went to a good home and my understanding is it’s going to be a rendering card working quite hard.

By the way (and sorry if I’ve missed it) but do we have a rough estimate of how many people are waiting for each 3090 at all ?

Ahh it seems the ASUS marketing man edited the original post and disabled comments. Looks like he probably made a mistake by not originally listing the 3090 rog strix OC as you have pointed out the 3090 OC is now listed as in production.

Well that’s some good news at least but pretty bad if you ordered the non OC rog strix 3090.

so basically if you’ve ordered the non oc version were pretty much ****** until all the Oc people have theirs, wow that’s a bit of a kick in the teeth. Had no need to order the oc as I only game at 1440p.

What are the chances of getting an Rog strix 3090 non-oc before 19th November now then ?

The same can be said for the OC version.

I won't get mine this month. But hoping for next month.

You won't be playing Cyberpunk on a 3090 Strix at launch.

If ASUS aren't even producing the non-OC then that will mean a MINIMUM delay of approx 1-2 months for cards to be made, shipped and receive in the UK. I have heard a rumour that Santa is still taking pre-orders though :(

You think even the Strix OC won't be around by then? I'm fourth in the queue so I was expecting my wait was almost over :(

I did think it would be kinda odd for a marketing manager to make the mistake of saying "3000 series" and only meaning one of the two. Would be a serious faux pas

I'm sure at least the first 100 or so OC will have been delivered by then. It seems highly unlikely it could be worse than that but who knows at this point

I just find it absolutely mental that they would set up orders for £1700 items that aren't even been in production yet. Remember that the 24th was the actual "Release Date" for the 3090. OCUK warned us it was essentially a pre-order situation due to low stock, but I don't think anyone anticipated that they weren't at least manufacturing them.

Well you certainly got a boost in your chances from moving from a January deliver to a November delivery by queue jumping 4 days....if only everybody who ordered were given the same chance...............

I said ages ago Asus had delayed starting to make their strix cards (for whatever reasons) and I was laughed at.

I didn't notice that, I guess they delayed them due to capgate, which I hear was fixed with a driver update. Of course I'd rather we got a better card for the wait, I just hate not being kept in the loop when I've spent a months wages on something

4 and you’re worried? Really????

They’re making cards and shipping them. You’ll be getting one out of the first batch arriving at OcUK!

yeahh I know and it’s a shame tbh I might even completely hold off on CB2077 until I get my strix, even if it takes until Christmas although surely they gotta start pumping out plenty of cards soon! Gutted tbh! especially after spending so much money on a product that was even being manufactured :(

Got a question if anyone can help. I ordered a new monitor in the same order as my 3090, anyone know if they will wait to send the monitor with the card or would they come separate ? Thanks.

In my experience they’ll send the monitor. Post in the customer service forum and check.

Use a decent thread title like “not asking about 3080, need help with monitor” as they’re probably sick or people asking the same questions :D

They'll be on the same delivery. Unless you ask nicely, I'm sure they'd be willing to split the order

I also ordered additional items, namely a PSU
