Well either wait and hope for a price drop which might take forever to happen, get stuborn and dont purchase at all or just fork out the cash on release day and hopefully gain an experience you are satisfied with :).

I am more than likely going to run SLI sooner or later yes, and also frankly speaking I dont like customer cooler aesthetics - I know most people prefer them and thats cool, but each to their own I say.
 
Do I buy 2xFE or 2xFTW. Im wondering if id be able to overclock them alright on my gigabyte 4 way sli board, ill probably space them out in pcie lanes 1 and 3.

I dont care about how loud it is, it can sound like a jet taking off I use ear phones.

There will be some CHEAPO cards with blowers out

If you bought 2 that could be a massive 200 quid saving mate !
