When I worked for Tesco in 2007 and a popular console game (Halo 3) was due to come out we had them in warehouse for 3 days with instructions to put them out on shelves at midnight on release day and not a minute early. A lot of teenagers were gathering on car park and inside waiting (was 24/7 store).

Nvidia's marketing have done an excellent trick in getting the sheep to think their 104 variant GPU is high end now.

Their marketing have also done a number on people with the FE to milk another 100$ from their mid tier 104 GPU.

So glad i held off upgrading from my 2x280x crossfire to the 980ti .... sold both cards yesterday cheap 1080 upgrade coming today ^_^

And the mid tier 1080 is 620 quid. So I'm not really.

OK I gotta ask this - is there an NDA over these 1080 shipping codes? because I and others have tried to ask so many times now when do we get the codes and nobody seems to want to answer it...

I have a feeling we are going to get these codes tommorow or something after the fact!
