Very nice!

Can I ask which PSU? As if your PSU is not silly high-end then even more impressive. :)

yep im chuffed with them, I thought about some of the cheaper 970's but glad I didn't now these were well worth the extra, the quality is more than I was expecting

Managed the get the card to squeal like an old hinge, but only when running 3DMark's Ice storm, and the squealing started when topping 1000fps (and got really bad between 1500 and 2000fps). Not really a fair test.

::EDIT:: Aaaaand hard crashes during benchmarks, with no minidumps. Time for another fun game of swap-parts-still-it-stops-breaking.

I think I'd be squealing too running at 1000fps+ :/

Well very good results, hardly any game would run over 200 fps (thinking of very old games) new game 100 / 150 it is already too much so if it starts at 1000fps it is a fantastic result!

...what parts you need to swap?

Given it's a new build, pretty much all of them. At least it looks like it's not the PSU, and probably not the GPU either.
::EDIT:: Ah, CPU. Damn.

Sorry if this has already been asked/it's staring me right in the face but, what's the length of this card? Or more specifically will it fit into a Corsair 240 case?

I've just got another one from stock as were sending another card out for review, I shall measure it whilst I've got it to hand and update the specification. :)

Assuming it doesn't differ in length from a regular 980 (same PCB, cooler), it should be 267mm long. The Air 240 lists max CPU length as 290mm. Should fit with plenty of wiggle-room.

Yes it is identical in dimensions to 980 reference. :D
