Ordered the MSI GTX 780 last night and happy with the price I paid. About the same price my paid for a 770 3 months ago!

This is making my head hurt! First I though my 7950 is enough for now. Then I saw the R290X and thought that is pretty good. Now the 780 is £20 cheaper than the R290X.

Making my head hurt too... Got a 4gb Gigabyte Gtx 770 atm, originally was thinking of sli in the future. The 780 price drop has me wondering whether to get one of those and give this card to my brother in place of his 7950....or just say the idea is mad and I just stick with what I have for a year or so...argghh.

If you check out the benchmarks of the OC 780's against the 290X, you will see the 780 wins and quite easily and you get 3 free games and you get PhysX and you get ShadowPlay and you get G-Sync.... Food for thought bruvva, food for thought

3 games worth £50ish and 780's can be had for less than £365...

Agreed, the Ref cooler is crap, it still overclocks even with the crap cooler, and it will be avalable with better coolers soon, or soon we hope.

Which 780 would you get Gregster?

For benching Gregster, I would go for the Classy.
For gaming Gregster, I would go for the MSI gaming or Gigabyte OC (and probably buy the Giga purely for the price).

Yeah as you WC it's a no brainer to hop on whoever is first. I certainly wouldn't buy an AMD reference card though with a view to using it on air for too long!
At least the customs bring some normality back.
Yeah think I'll wait it out as well, if 780's hit £300 after game sales I might snap though and go SLI.
