** NVIDIA RTX 30 SERIES (3090 / 3080 / 3070) NOW ONLINE AT OcUK **

IF there is no stock at launch, then it is a failed launch.
It's as simple as that really.
NVIDIA set the day, so they know that a good amount of stock needs to be at retailers for that day.

Another retailer (not OCUK) told me they don't expect to see any 3xxx series stock until mid October.
IF that is the case I will not be pre-ordering and locking my cash up, I'll take my chances and wait for the RDNA2 announcement and see where the dust settles.

The real problem (in my mind) is I don't really want a 3080... I want 3080ti.
That's why I'm not fussed if I cannot get hold of a 3080 on Thursday.
As my plan would only be to sell it again in 6 months or so.

That's my ideal scenario tbh but also my worst, I work nights so I would get down there, grab it, hurry back home but would be like a dog with 2 di dying to give it a whirl and end up up really late going bed. If I order it to be delivered, the moment I click the payment button I am going to be looking through the window waiting for it. I'm terrible like that when I order something. :D
Its DPD so you will be able to track your driver around the map

I envy your free time..I'm actually quite serious. I remember being like that when I was so much younger. Waiting and excited for my next game or upgrade !

Free time? Nah dude, I work. I have worked all through this covid malarkey. Its just that I am seriously impatient (read my previous post, the moment I click the payment button I am going to be looking through the window waiting for it. Even though I know it wont be here yet).

It's stupid that the 3090 is released later. It's the big boy card so I don't see why they are delaying it. Cynically I think the 3080 stock will run out and then they'll try get people to buy the 3090 instead.

Feels like I need to try and buy a 3080, and then a week later try and buy a 3090. I'll resell/return the 3080 if I get both.

What I don't want to do is miss the 3080, then miss the 3090.

Out of all of them I am confident you will be able to get a 3090 easily.

I don't feel that the people who want a 3090 will settle for a 3080, even in the meantime until the 3090 become available. And in my opinion getting a 3080 as a stop gap cause of impatience and returning it is just plain wrong. You'd be stopping a person getting a 3080 that really wants one. But that's just my view on it.

There are some people, myself included who want an in between card...depending on how the 3080 reviews, I'm inclined to be sensible and get one instead of going for the more expensive option. If I don't manage to and the 3090 shows promise...who knows, I might be tempted to go for one...I wouldn't buy a 3080 as a stop gap though...that's just selfish.

Been reading the comments of some forum members. Sadly some seem to treat the one month return as a freebie trial and do it on multiple items. Lovely people

Well it's only 14 days anyway, not 30 days.

I doubt anyone would bother for just 2 weeks lol.

You'd be surprised what some people would do. Once knew a guy that did just that. He ordered a new card (not from OC btw). Benchmarked his system with it to get a score, then returned the card.

not sure what sites you buy from? It’s 28 to 30 days most sites in the uk.

just google returns for the major U.K. sites if you don’t believe me.

reading that it’s 14 days to contact them and another 14 to return so that’s 28 days????

Ah I see, technically yes if you play 'the game' and notify retailer on day 13 - then take another 12-13 days to return it on a next day service to the retailer...

Immoral but I guess people will try it.
