I received an email from Overclockers Yesterday to say I am No. 651 in the queue for the 3080 Asus Rog Strix OC

I'm not expecting to see my new purchase arrive this year if I am honest, I sold my Asus Rog 2080TI at the right time, they were only ever going to go down in price once the new 3xxx series were released, but now I am buggered until the new one arrives

I expected a little wait, that was always going to be the case, but the amount that OC are receiving on a weekly basis from their suppliers means that any realistic delivery date is probably going to be next year now :(
 
I know for a fact that intel hd graphics (pc bound) are pretty **** to say the least, can't really do an awefull lot on my pc atm, gotta ride it out until dispatch, lmfao

Yea I also have 2080ti but decided not to sell because I know getting a card within a few weeks of launch is super risky, especially as I'm waiting to play Cyberpunk :)

I haven't follow the latest development on the forum, so I apologize if people has asked this many times already, but what is the latest number/queue/line up for the ROG Strix 3090 OC version?
 
understand that times are tough right around the situation of 3080 cards been looking through a thread to answer my question,

I bought a 3080 msi gaming x trio yesterday evening, got my order number and delivery etc in the email but i cant see a queue position in the email. so now i have no idea what sort of time frame im looking at for receiving this card.
Are people getting separate emails with their queue position?

Not a good time frame to make that order.

Ill say you will only probably get the card in 2021. And probably like 2000 in the q. Have a look at the other thread in GPU part of the forum and you will understand.

Sorry, I have to correct you there so that others don't get the wrong information - queue position emails are being sent out to NOT just to those who ordered on launch day but after as well.

Yeah I didn't mean only those of us who ordered on launch are getting emails, I meant the emails onlu started going out that day and that was for us that ordered on launch, meaning others will no doubt get theirs in the coming hours and days, could have been clearer.
 
Glad I kept my old card, am waiting it out to see what AMD come up with, one thing is sure, will be putting a 5XXX Ryzen in whatever happens with GPUs
 
Ditto on that one, like the news, comments and tests of the Ryzen 5 series, currently an intel user but i'm gonna go Amd cpu way for the very first time very soon...
 
All you people that rushed to sell your current card to buy a 3080 were silly to even do so. I remember the last 2 series were just as bad. With the pandemic the wait will be even longer. I want a 3080 as all of you do, but I see no need to sell my 2080 FE. It plays all my games perfectly fine 3440x1440 120hz, i7 10700k.

After receiving a 3080 I've just sold my gtx 1070ti for £230 which is pretty good considering I only paid £250 for it 2 years ago so atleast value hasn't tanked at the lower end.

I would say you found someone mad enough or not up to speed on tech to pay that much for such and old card
