Hope Gigabyte are just playing it cool and are shipping the entire back order in one go to save shipping costs of a 'trickle' to market.

None of this is a surprise to Nvidia or the other Manufacturers - they wanted to get us tied into the RTX 30 series before AMD had a chance to show their cards - they knew they would be in the situation that they are in now, and found it acceptable. There was no way the demand surprised them - unless they were expecting to sell 10 cards world wide. :-D

Exactly, and to be honest, if your going to show off & sell your newest tech to the world the one big let down for the consumers that want to get there hands on them is not having enough & also making them wait for weeks on end, that's not a good demonstation of a company, we are all in the same boat though, & will be happy er soon enough....!

I don't think it's demand that surprised them, I'm with Steve at Gamers Nexus, it was down to Nvidia's secrecy. They are that scared of leaks that they didn't give the AIB manufacturers any advance notice, they got very little warning and didn't even have complete drivers for creating their boards.

After skipping the 20 series I can't disagree with that logic, in reality I'd probably do the same.
Does anybody have any recommendations for a decent 2k 144hz monitor around the £400 mark? £500 at a push. I'm currently looking at the TUF gaming VG27BQ but I've not bought a monitor in over 10 years so I don't want to overlook anything.
Probably the dell S2721DGF or LG 27GL850.

This is getting beyond a joke now! once a week at best ''we have a small(30) amount of such and such card'' get your **** sorted! I ordered as soon as the site was stable enough to go through with the eta being 18th sep and the way it's going it'll be sep next year before i get my card. I feel lied too by overclockers they knew exactly what was going to happen yet they took the money and eta 18th anyway, what a joke!

Its not Overclockers fault per say is is?

You did read the previous comments by Greebo which explained pretty well why the cards are delayed? I'm sure that Overclockers haven't deliberately lied to anyone, they are last in the supply chain before they send to us, the consumers. The launch was ill timed, with the holidays that have occurred where the components are made, tie that in with COVID 19 and the staffing levels i'm sure being lower than what they would have been, add in the last minute design changing by individual brands and voila, tailbacks...

I get your angry and frustrated, the same as the rest of us are, hell I have at least until the New Year to wait, my only option is to cancel my order and buy "El Cheapo" GFX Card to see me through until stocks are plentiful, but what exactly would I gain from that?

Its easy to blame Overclockers because they have taken your money and cannot give you the goods, but they are one of the only sites that were taking pre orders. Scalpers are to blame for a lot of the shortages, Overclockers could in no way be blamed for the amount of site traffic at launch there was no way to foresee that was there?

They didn't even use a captcha and let the bots steal the cards before real customers ffs. And they knew they were sitting on like 200 cards yet said eta 18th then my money was tied to overclockers to not hear anything and 3-4 days later get an email saying sorry out of stock it's a pre order only and if u cancel uy ****** basically

Exactly this

Everyone knew that this was going to happen, and mistakes have been made in the launch and delivery. I understand all that and the need for OC to charge for the order too, but they did not need to charge the full amount. A securing payment and the rest on shipment would have been better. It’s not like they are going to be stuck with these cards is it. But I knew a wait is what I had so we just have to sit and wait, I am building my first system, and used OC for most of it. I don’t have a fall back card so fingers crossed gigabyte start delivering soon.

Ok, so how did they KNOW there were going to be BOTS to "Steal" the cards?

Answer... they didn't

Easy to say "They didn't even use a captcha" once the damage is done, its a bit like asking you if your a mind reader

Quite a simple solution fella.... Cancel your order, get a refund and look elsewhere.. good luck with that

Going to ask again, has anyone had an MSI 3080 Ventus 3x delivered from here? I am 400+ in the queue for one and have heard no news of them being delivered to, or even from, Overclockers.
Mine was shipped on the 18th and I've also seen others receive them since.

I think people who brought around 2.30pm have had them shipped now.
