** NVIDIA RTX 30 SERIES NOW ONLINE AT OVERCLOCKERS UK (3090 / 3080 / 3070) **

After joining a few discord/telegram stock bot chats for both the 3080 and 3070, the 3070 is far more available. There have been 86 stock alerts just today on one of the servers. They are out there.

Managed to get a pair of 3070s - one each for the mrs and myself - delivered yesterday. Unfortunately this was from a competitor, just got lucky and happened to browse their site as some Palit Gaming Pros landed in stock.

anyone had their ASUS DUAL 3070 shipped yet? Gibbo said they were expecting a "small" delivery of all 3070s by the end of this week, hopefully that means today. I'm 35 in queue.

Some of us suspect that what he was failing to convey in that post as a ok number of all Gigabyte 3070 (along with a small number of all Gigabyte 3090s and most Gigabyte 3080s). Now of course he never responded to any of our queries to check if he had just forgot to make clear all of the cards in that post were Gigabyte ones, but it would match other times when he has included critical detail that apply to all the cards he is talking about on only some of the lines of the post, and managed to increase the confusion even more about what is coming when.

Hopefully I'm being pessimistic, but, I suspect we'll just see the Gigabyte cards GIGA-Man has confirmed are coming (and maybe some MSI if there are some more after yesterday's mega-batch of 3080s from them). If there were Dual's I think they'd have been mentioned in this post with the other ASUS 3070s.

Why do so many people here assume It's Gibbo's main job to scroll through the forum, post and respond and when he doesn't then he's clearly ignoring everyone intentionally.

OC's a business. Gibbo's an employee of the business. The forum is an addon that does NOT make any money for them. What he does on the forum is purely at his own free will and absolutely not part of his job spec. Given his bio and the way he talks I'm willing to bet cash money he's middle upper management (or above) in OCs and has a TON of responsibilities each day - dealing with suppliers back and forth, arranging for deliveries, managing the warehouse, the site and it going down during launches, working with colleagues... . The fact that he's posting on the forum is merely a gift to us. It's not up to Gibbo or OCs when stock would arrive and if it's slow or not, they are just one link in a big chain including nVidina, logistics, 3rd party manufacturers, logistics, OC, logistics and then you. Trust me, if it was up to OC each and every one of us would have had their cards at 13:30 on launch day.

He's mentioned couple of times, even manufacturers cant ship their cards cuz of apple taking up all the available air space (which is low due to less people flying , thanks corona) AND they (overclockers) AND the UK delivery companies are already working at black Friday levels and beyond. I too am waiting for a card and if anything has changed in terms of queue number or stocks I'd have gotten the email or Gibbo'd have posted in his thread but since it/he hasn't then I take what's already in there as current facts.

Sucks but Nvidia and apple suck more. Nvidia for such a bad launch and absolutely not anticipating demand properly, and apple for taking up available postage space.

Best shut down the forums then and stop using it to communicate new products, stock availability, providing customer service and general communication with customers.

It's absolutely OC's responsibility to monitor these forums if they use it for those means above. How they choose to communicate with their customers is up to them but it's abundantly clear how it's being received by their customers.

OC are a business who profit off their customers. They don't need our support or protection and we're within our rights to comment on the service provided. Unfortunately that's projected at the figure head for these product launches as he seems to be the one making the decisions on how to engage the community.

And of course the forum makes money for them. Otherwise why advertise products on it...

Palit 3070 received today from another company. Will be canceling my order from OC. Sorry but OC have really screwed the pooch on this one. Ordered last week with not even a queue position or update, they pretty much have gone into radio silence with thousands of peoples money sitting in limbo. I understand there is a massive massive demand for these cards but I do feel the customer service all round could have been improved and other sites have managed to get it right.

Fingers crossed they ship them on the 10th or 11th. OC should be getting them on the 10th. I'm 29th in the queue.

Sorry for double posting, but this response from Gibbo is really interesting. It's mostly about the CPUs but sheds some light on the logistics, and the last paragraph talks about GPUs and transparency:
AMD RYZEN 5000 SERIES 5950X, 5900X, 5800X & 5600X NOW ONLINE AT OcUK!! | Page 26 | Overclockers UK Forums

Hi there

OK our master disti who had still not delivered our wave one stock has now confirmed they are sorry for the delay and not having stock here for launch but that stock will now be arriving next week:
5900X - 300pc
5800X - 100pc
5600X - 100pc

Now I have posted amounts here, but the reason we tend to not post amount is because stock can and does get stolen/damaged/lost in transit and that is why we tend to not post stock numbers, because if customer who is say position 295 in the queue for a 5900X will now be think HELL YES MY CPU WILL BE HERE NEXT WEEK, but what happens if the courier loses a carton of the CPU's so that is 20 units lost, or a carton is squashed/damaged, that is upto 20 units lost or the delivery gets stolen.

That is why we do not generally post numbers because all the above does happen and sometimes couriers will split the shipment also so they will delivery half one day and half the next day.

This is why we do not post numbers because the stock comes a long way and passes through many hands before it gets to OcUK and during that journey stock can go missing or get damaged. Hope that helps educate some people as to the reasoning of why we do not post numbers and the above would normally be given as very large amount of 5900x and large amounts of 5800x and 5600x.

The master distributor had this to say in regard to what day next week we can expect the above delivery:
"hard to say as havent got pre alert - they generally deliver on wednesday on pallets but if not pallet can deliver any day by dhl . on the 300 it had a CMAD shipping date from aMd of 26/10 & SDD date expected arrival date of 4/11 which is why expecting any day"

So as you can see it is not as simple as an item ships and arrives next day, these large manufacturer deliveries can really take some time, you can see from above the 5900X in question left AMD on 26th October so by the time we get them they have spent two weeks travelling going through various warehouses and delivery depots. That is why stock can easily go missing or get damaged in transit.

I hope this helps people to understand and educate better as to why these things can take time and why the numbers we think were getting may always not materialise.

I suspect other distributors will also get some stock next week which I shall be working hard to grab as much as I can, plus AMD have our master disti purchase orders which now total over 10,000 CPUs. :)

I can give a much better level of transparency with a processor than I can a GPU, because with a CPU I work with AMD or Intel directly and then just master disti. On a GPU AMD/NVIDIA does not own that product, the board partners do and the different board partners have varying levels of communication, some are good, some are poor and they rely on getting GPU's from AMD/NVIDIA which can of course vary and go wrong due to the above also and as there is so many board partners and so many distributors for GPU's it is much harder to near impossible on being as transparent with the GPU's, again hope that helps people understand, I do have some GPU updates today which shall be posted in the sticky thread this afternoon/evening.

Have a great weekend everyone!

@Leanne Hedges You should receive a queue position in your email for your graphics card. At least I am with my 3080, assuming they do it for all 3000 series.

Edit: queue positions should be sent every Friday, that is when I get mine.
