I'm really not that happy about the price I paid for the Zotac 3070 OC here yesterday. Really not that happy at all. It's scuzzy when the scalpers inflate the price but when a respected retailer like overclockers does it it's something else entirely. Feels like profiteering.
My card is dying. I'm out of options.

If it helps at all you aren't just paying for the gpu, you're paying to get a couple of hours of your life back, hours that you would have otherwise been spending searching the internet for stock if you hadn't made that purchase. At least that's what I'm telling myself in an attempt to justify my own purchase. UK minimum wage is £8.21, so the way I see it, every hour of my time I ended up saving = £8.21 minimum.
Granted, this entire thought process may be incredibly foolish, I'm not sure, but perhaps it will help some of you just a little bit.
My card is also completely dead btw, has been dead now for 1 month.

3070 FEs were available for about an hour yesterday at £469 including free delivery (Saturday for many).
Great. Nice of Nvidia to not send me that email alert...
They only email people when they first go on sale but not when restocking happens.
You can subscribe to Discord or Telegram channels which will notify you when cards are in stock and that is how I got mine yesterday.
Even if they had the email takes time to send and arrive in your inbox. In which time the 3080's at least would be gone. You have to do the work yourself at the moment because too many people want one and are willing to do the work. Nobody's going to tap you on the shoulder and offer you one sadly.
See my post here to give yourself a chance if you want an FE. The 3070FE and 3090FE were available for over 90 minutes yesterday. The 3080FE sold out in basically 2 minutes, if you hadn't completed checkout by 2:18pm you didn't get one. They went on sale at 2:15pm.
I'm sorry but if you are sitting actually looking a about instead of just joining discord and getting a notification that's you fault lol. It's stupid that oc had models up on there site that arent even being produced.
Can't say otherwise will get banned but not hard to find

You're allowed to post discord links as long as they arent run by a competitors website or for profit. The link I posted is third party, free and scrapes OCUKs website as well as others.

were they? I am on several discord/telegram stock alert channels and there was no such alert for me about the 3070.
there were a batch of 3080’s. Is that what you are referring to?
No 3080s were gone within 1-5 minutes according to some people and I got one myself but 3070s and 3090s were available a lot longer (over an hour it seems).
I was notified by Telegram channel/group at 14:13 for both 3080s and 3070s yesterday and at 14:14 had my order in.

No worries, wasn't intending to offend in any way. No exam needed to post on here, there's all sorts of different levels of ability about. I've fallen foul of assuming people can do stuff they have no idea about before and ended up down a rabbit hole I didn't want to be in
Exactly what I mean, you need to be in the right groups. Just checked and you are right it was actually 14:13 the notification popped up, I had my email order confirmation by 14:15
