** NVIDIA RTX 30 SERIES NOW ONLINE AT OVERCLOCKERS UK (3090 / 3080 / 3070) **

Wow....

I guess you are either very young or have a terrible memory? This is a bog standard launch compared to some of the things that have come before. Sure it looks great compared to Turing. But it is a bog standard launch, of exsisting technology and typical pricing.

Considering it's a launch taking place during a pandemic I wouldn't say it's a bog standard launch. Haha.

Moving on to a 8nm node from 12 or whatever turing was is not inconsequential, nor is it existing technology. Until AMD launches 7nm later this year by definition its the most technologically advanced consumer graphics card line (to be) on sale today. In terms of what they put on the die etc that's another conversation but from purely a technology perspective I disagree.

I usually go with MSI since the 970, so looking to go for the Gaming X trio 3080, worried about the length though. I have the Corsair Crystal 680x with 3 internal fans on the front, the space I have with my MSI 2070 super currently is 1 or 2 mm with the fan there, so looks like I may be taking a fan out to cover the 3080 length of 335cm!! Never easy is it.

You are basically paying an extra £70 for RGB. (over the Ventus). Worth?

I initially thought they would be roughly the same but now that the specs are out, Gaming X Trio is 18mm lengthier, 20mm wider and weighs 195g more than the Ventus. Ventus is 1mm taller. That's a fair bit more cooling surface on the Trio X. Now whether it actually makes the Trio X significantly cooler, that's an open question. Trio X also has newer generation fans (which might mean nothing) and an extra 8 pin power connector. I would say the price difference between these models is very fair compared to what other manufacturers ask for their top tier vs. lesser models.

Isn’t the gaming trio a 3 x 8 pin card ? Probably a custom pcb ? they are gonna be able to overclock higher.

You hope. With the 2000 series cards it didn't make any difference how many power connectors AIB put on their boards or how many chokes or extra bits they put on. It all came down to a silicon lottery and how good the cooler was.

I suspect the 3000 series will be a repeat of this.

Will OCUK actually have stock of these on the 17th then or just open pre orders?

That's what I'd like to know. Will you only be allowed to order up to whatever stock OCUK expect to receive first and you won't be able to order anymore, or will it be an open pre-order and if you're too high on the order number you could get it weeks/months later?

Hey guys,

I heard EVGA allows us to open and replace the thermal paste on the GPUs without losing the Warranty. Do you know any other manufacture that allows that too?

Thanks.
