** NVIDIA RTX 30 SERIES NOW ONLINE AT OVERCLOCKERS UK (3090 / 3080 / 3070) **

I'm waiting for the pre-order button. I've been without a gaming PC for almost a month. With the AMD desktop 4000 cpus and RTX 3000 so close I didn't bother replacing my faulty GTX 1080 SC.

I really don't understand the logic behind this connector. Its pitched as delivering more power - but that's nonsense as you can clearly see in the video that the 12 pins terminates into 2x6 pins of the 8 pins connectors at the PSU end.

Electrical power is simply determined by the voltage and resistance of the cable and connector. The physical size of the connector is irrelevant, and actually a smaller connector should only be able to take smaller gauge wires which would lead to increased resistance not less.

The only benefit I can see is it taking up smaller space on the board but power claims from it are surely nonsense.

FOMO is absolutely real, not gonna lie I've worked really freaking hard and waited it out to this launch to upgrade!

I've waited over 3 years to upgrade, I can wait another 3 weeks, or months. Especially with this launch; a massive heatsink and a decent price - Nvidia are coming across a little bit too keen.
