** NVIDIA RTX 30 SERIES NOW ONLINE AT OVERCLOCKERS UK (3090 / 3080 / 3070) **

I read midnight somewhere on here ( i think it was on here), with the custom cards, being the normal 2pm.
It is likely to be at one of those two times, but Nvidia will never confirm it because their website will get 404'd.

To be honest, I don't think I'm gonna get one even if I'm watching the auto-refresh like a hawk. It was hard enough getting a 2080 Super FE last year at times. I want to get in on the first batch though so I can sell my old card, the price should hold because Ampere won't be available for a while after Thursday.

Omg. People are OBSESSED with saying and thinking that you won't be able to get a card! Slow clap for Nvidias marketing team!
Yep, they win again. First the fake news about price which got people thinking it is a bargain, which it ain’t. Now this tactic where they are creating fomo.

Honestly, AMD’s marketing department need to watch and learn as to how it is done.

One important thing to consider looking to reviews I think ...
Remember the base clock of the 2080 series was largely ignored and most auto boosted into games around the 1900+ compared to the "stock" of 1710.
By the sounds of it the ampere chips are not as overclockable due maybe to the process in its infancy, or heat/power restraints.
In the interest of comparison, finding a reviewer that locks the core to stock clocks will benefit those looking at AIB worst case scenario ;)

Fake news? Wait, there aren't £650 cards?
Also, it's unarguably better value than last gen.

Samsung 8nm is based off their 10nm node and fairly mature - limitations will be because it is pushing the boundaries of what can be done while still using DUV.

Pre-announcement - Whole internet the RTX 3080 will be $999, 1299, 1599
Actual announcement - The 3080 will be $649

The internet got carried away by 'fake news' leaked or speculative, and then they made $649 look cheap, when in fact it was the same price as the GTX 1080 from 4.5 years ago, and when a Ti card didn't exist above it, but replaced it at a similar price point 12 months later.

Not hard to understand people being underwhelmed, it isn't a bargain it is just the the 20 series was a con job.

I see, thanks for info. Hadn't seen the previously stated prices.

I mean in fairness, theres always the alternative of not feeling personally attacked when people ask questions and assuming they're challenging you, but then what do I know, I'm "Another noob":rolleyes:
Did not feel attacked at all. What I did feel was why is this guy who is clearly new to all this stuff making such an assumption that makes no sense in a sarcastic manner? Then after that I saw your post, to be fair yours was not sarcastic, but just asking the same question.

Anyway, I apologise if my post came over harsh.
