NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - OFFICIAL PRE-ORDER THREAD!

I’m a bit confused about the RTX 5090 listings on Overclockers UK. The pre-order thread mentions availability starting January 30th, but when I search for the cards on the site, they’re all listed as "out of stock."

Can anyone confirm if this "out of stock" status is just a placeholder for pre-orders, or if all pre-order allocations have already been taken? It seems strange, as no other major retailers (e.g., Scan or NVIDIA's website for the Founders Edition) have opened pre-orders yet.

Also, does anyone know when the Founders Edition might be listed, or if there’s a separate process for pre-ordering those?
Most vendors will be getting stock or have actual stock. The thing is Nvidia controls when they can list and sell. They are just placing it ready for when it goes live and then they don;t have to make a whole new page as the first few days is when they will shift the most new units. All Etailers will be going live at 2pm on Jan 30th. My advice to you is make sure you have multiple web pages open with your details already stored. Everyone will be clamouring to get one. You, bots for scalpers, companies and next doors dog.

Most websites will slow down to a crawl and I do literally mean a crawl. My plan is to have sever etailer pages open. I hope I can secure one from OCUK as they have been fantastic for me in the past and for quite a while so I would like to keep that going. Thing is I need 2 for my pc's so I have to get one from somewhere else. The only place I wouldn't get one is from nvidia official partner. I had a very very bad experience with them when I ordered the 980 or was it 980 ti Kingpin card many years ago. I did not open the case for the card and they refused me returning it as I wanted something else instead. I had to get the manager/owner involved before anything positive happened and that was after quite a few weeks going back and forth with them. Even if I couldn't get a 5090 from anywhere else and only they had it with plenty of stock I will not buy from them as a matter of principal and I like to be that azz.

Founders edition is only available from 2 places. One is Nvidia the other is a competitor of OCUK they are the official partner. So if someone buys a founders and it not from Nvidia they it can only be from one etailer

I think I've found this 'retailer' with price listings, it's only showing Zotac models for now, but yeah, good £300-£500 markup over the FE model if these are true prices.

All 3 Zotac cards are currently showing £1439.99. Based on the 5090 prices I'd expect that to be the price for the AMP Extreme INFINITY SKU.
Oh wow..

If I don't get a FE 5080 (let's face it..it's a tiny % chance) then I guess I will have to skip this generation and buy a used 4080/4090.

That is insane pricing

If that's their actual price, then god help those who want an ASUS card
Asus are Asus. You gonna pay asus tax and if it is white then white tax as well. They have been that way for years now. The hard core Asus fans will always pay it. I paid 2.1k for the 3090 ti LC version, 2.6k for the white strix 4090 so I bought 3. And 1.5k for an Asus white strix 4080.

On the release day of the white rog strix which was after the general 4090 release I dropped a touch under 10k. But I have kicked my GPU collection addiction, I think...roll on white astral....

@Gibbo Is there any information about the composition of the waterblock used in the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5090 Aorus Xtreme Waterforce WB? I've heard that previous versions used aluminium which did not play well with copper loops. I'd love to get one of these to save having to fit a waterblock myself but don't want to corrode my loop!

Wow! Impressive collection. Do you still have them all or did you sell some to prepare for the 5090?

I'll be waiting for a FE this time around, IF it's quieter than the 3090FE/4090FE. I have my doubts that the 5090FE design, while impressive, will be good enough to spin the fans at low RPM.

If that's the case, then I'll go for the 5090 Astral from ASUS, as will probably be the quietest 5090.
The Astral LC maybe :D

Was expecting a bit of a mark up for the AIBs but have to say if the Zotac cards are rumoured to be around £2500 than we are probably looking at £3k for an Astral or Aorus Master, and that is ludicrous imo. I have the funds available but if they go almost 1k over the FE RRP then I think I'll just hold off and try for one of those later

I thought when you added the Founders edition to the basket on teh Nvidia website it took you to OCUk competitor website and the competitore never actuallylists them. At least that was teh case when i kept adding 4090s to my basket wback when i was toying with the idea

So about just over 3 months ago I moved back to my home town. And so I was aware that the 5090 was due out in January so I started systematically selling off my 4xxx series cards. My collection consisted of 3 4080, 2x4070ti, 3 4070ti super and 15 4090.

And before anyone asks I am not a scalper. I have never sold any graphics card in the past 20 years for more than what I paid for it whether I got it from here, eBay, or bought brand new.

I have a GPU collection addiction not shafting people who can't get hold of one for a more reasonable price I am not about that life.

Safe to say after selling that lot off I don't have to pull any of my own money out to get the 5090's. I did the same for the 3xxx series as well at one point I had over 22 3xxx series cards and were 14 3080 ti, 2 3090 TI's, 3 3070, 2 3060, 3060 ti, 3 3070 tis. Funnily enough I never had the 3080 or 3090 as I thought they were terrible value...go figure

I don't know how the ordering system works now or before. I got my founders edition used on here. The 4090 founders edition is one of my fave cards even though it runs warmer and louder than the AIB. I have never liked a founders card till then. Hated the 3080ti FE.

Rest assured I won't be buying from them forever.

Wow! Over 15 4090s! That's next level balling. I am guessing most of them would have still been BNIB when you offloaded them.

I'm so curious. Did you install all of them or just kept them in boxes as part of your collection?
Some of them I installed. Some were left in the box like zotac 4080. MSI 4070ti. 2 4090 strix they were all iirc I never opened. But I already another set which I opened. My friend from here laughed at me the other day as he was surprised I keep spares of the spares. I am a bit of a hoarder. 5 PSU. 8 keyboards. 5 or 6 sets of ddr5 memory. 4 32 inch mini led 4k monitors. The list goes on

And as crazy as it sounds I am trying to break out of it.
