NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - OFFICIAL PRE-ORDER THREAD!

...paying 2500 ( hopefully ) for a bit of tech ..
...A bit of toy to play video games marginally better (for most people) :)

I'll wait until end of days to get a card at actual RRP. No way I'm accepting the absolute indignity of nV forcing down even higher AIB prices because they've shrunken their margins to a gnat's butt over the past few years. I really hope EVGA execs are sitting on a beach somewhere enjoying life for going out on their own terms.

Some more prices - obviously take these with a pinch of salt but there is some variance in them so might be indicative of something, I'm just not sure what. I can see some of the higher end 5080s being around the lower end of this price point but I doubt we'll actually see 5080s for £1799.99 (hope I'm not wrong about that!).

MSI NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 16GB GAMING TRIO OC WHITE - £1559.99
MSI NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 16GB VANGUARD SOC LAUNCH EDITION - £1559.99
MSI NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 16GB VENTUS 3X OC - £1559.99
MSI NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 16GB GAMING TRIO OC - £1679.99
MSI NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 16GB SUPRIM LIQUID SOC - £1799.99
MSI NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 16GB SUPRIM SOC - £1799.99
PALIT NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 16GB GAMING PRO - £1799.99

PNY NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 32GB ARGB Overclocked Triple Fan - £2758.99

Some are clearly pretty weird and likely incorrect (like the GAMING TRIO OC WHITE being significantly cheaper than the GAMING TRIO OC).
Every time you post you quickly kill excitement :D:D

Sorry! I would hope those prices on the high end really are not accurate but who knows at this point.

Imagine paying £1800 for a 16GB 5080 though
Yeah... It's not even the fact it's a 16GB 5080 for me it's more just the comparison to FE pricing. I'm in the market for a 5090 and I will still look at AIBs once we have concrete pricing, but I can't imagine many people are willing to stomach paying the same price as an FE 5080 + FE 5090 for an AIB 5090 for example.

There's no way some of those prices are accurate, a Swedish shop had the Asus 5080 Prime OC for 1227 Euro. Even if the price is without tax that would make it only about £1200 in UK.

Yeah that is why I mentioned taking them with a pinch of salt. They are, however, updated prices within the last 24 hours or so (as in, before they were £10k+ clearly placeholder prices and have now been changed to these).

Bonkers pricing for that class of card, hopefully some price correction is incoming...

If 5070Ti's are inflated the same then Nvidia can get stuffed I think.. they are already overboard with pricing without further inflation
Yeah for me it's the 5070Ti , 9700XT , A used 4080s or stick with the 3080, I'm not paying a grand for a small upgrade esp as I play at 1440p.

Pricing of computers parts is just getting ridiculous now because since the pandemic manufaturers and retailers have seen many people will pay anything for kit. Common sense has gone out of the window. For example I saw the other day new X870 motherboards released that cost over a £1000. (My own B650 motherboard which I paid £230 for in September has now increased in price to over £300 in some places). Asus have just launched a 4 button mouse for £250. Crackers

Some of them I installed. Some were left in the box like zotac 4080. MSI 4070ti. 2 4090 strix they were all iirc I never opened. But I already another set which I opened. My friend from here laughed at me the other day as he was surprised I keep spares of the spares. I am a bit of a hoarder. 5 PSU. 8 keyboards. 5 or 6 sets of ddr5 memory. 4 32 inch mini led 4k monitors. The list goes on

And as crazy as it sounds I am trying to break out of it.
Yeah get rid of all the stuff that you do not use you will feel better, having things just to have them is pathetic as they do not improve your life. Invest your money into something that will grow and not be worthless in the future.

I'm just going to wait and see. These are most likely placeholders. Some don't even make sense (lower models priced the same as higher models).
A couple of weeks ago we were all saying how high the FE would be and then we're surprised. I'm hoping to get a 5080 at £1200, if I can't I'll have to rethink as I'm not made of money unfortunately

Yep no way those MSI prices are anywhere close to accurate. They would be selling above the 4090 lol. The Swedish Asus prices look to be accurate IMO.

Honestly, there's no point in taking any of these prices tbh, I clearly remember last time we had prices a month before for the 4090 launch and by the end each card was +£300 more than that price, it's gonna be the same this time round so no one is putting prices up until the last few days
