NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - OFFICIAL PRE-ORDER THREAD!

I'm hoping the Gainward Phantom 5090s will come in stock on OCUK at some point in the next few weeks. With the 4090 they came in about 2 weeks after launch IIRC and I managed to get one fairly easily (as in they were up for more than 20 seconds) for a decent price too. Either that or a Zotac Solid (my favourite AIB design this time around).
 
After previous launches I went for a walk instead and checked the website when I got back. Site down and no Fe 5090s in sight.

Used DLSS Swapper to upgrade Enshrouded to DLSS 4 so at least I got something out of the 5000 series launch :)

Today has been a waste of my time. Ridiculous. I’ll try later in the year. I have a 4090 FE. It seems that if you want a 5090 you’re being asked for £2600 in some cases. Crazy!

Honestly I'm genuinely surprised so many people with 4090s can even be bothered doing this stupid launch event. I wouldn't have bothered wasting my time considering it's not exactly that large of an upgrade, and you're certainly paying for it.

Sadly my card is showing its age.

They appeared only sporadically, seems they were putting up small amounts of the 5080 and 5090 for around the last 90 mins or so. Was just sheer luck if you refreshed and they appeared as buy now, but even if you clicked it the card could still vanish before you got to checkout.

Sometimes just knowing you have 'the best' is satisfaction enough ;)

I run triples as a sim racer. I have to run 1440p, 5090 would allow me to run 4K. 1440p is okay! I hear you cry – not in iRacing it's not and not with triple 48" OLEDS. Jaggedy as Giant's Causeway. It's a meaningful upgrade for me, though I admit my situation is unusual. First world problems and all that.

Did they maybe do an in-person launch? That would be where I'd put the stock.
 
Snagged a 5090 FE. Time to upgrade the rest of my PC to suit now! Not sure the 5800X3D is going to keep up!
