NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - (PRE)ORDER DISCUSSION **NO COMPETITOR HINTING**

God these GPU launches really are crazy now arent they, imagine going back to mid 2010s and telling people flagship GPUs would cost almost £3000 and you still couldn't buy them at launch because scalpers were buying them all up and selling them on eBay for anything up to £5k.
Absolutely crazy, starting to wonder if it might be time to find a new hobby lol

"Another major issue is that some retailers with day-one stock are selling cards at significantly higher prices, effectively allowing them to act as scalpers." <cough, cough>

Pre-orders as well, right.... As a long time OC's supporter I very much enjoyed the 'extra special' price premium of +£238 over RRP (and their main competitors prices) added to my purchase yesterday. Feeling the love from the people's champion!

Gibbo has to afford his next car somehow.

It’s not a great look though, I get it, but it’s ridiculously greedy.

I’m happy to wait a few months for things to settle down.

I would argue how bad the ‘need’ for these is though. Extra frames that no one will notice in reality and some extra shiny RT surfaces that again no one will notice outside of screenshots. My 7900XTX carries 4K just fine. Nice to have sure, but I’m not sure I enjoy gaming enough anymore to warrant that price. I’m just getting old and grumpy though :p

Apart from what I can only assume is continued lack of investment in their web backend /bot protection, they actually did a great job with the 9800X3D launch. Fair pricing and they honoured purchase price, even though it seems like they had to pay their distributor more to move stock along in a timely manner. It's a shame therefore that here we are again, with seemingly nothing learnt from the 3000 series mess (and the 4000 series, slightly less mess).... :(

tin foil time but i reckon AMD tell them to sell a certain amount at MSRP.

Any ideas how to track an order done through guest account (had to use incognito) :(

I think I managed to get one of those Gigabyte Windforce ones that were apparently showing in stock at time of ordering a bit earlier.
Just curious to know if I ordered while it was in-stock - Am I in a queue. To confirm it was saying in-stock and purchasable - not showing as pre-order?

Unfortunately - is there is NO way to track the order as a guest although I received my order number already?

You can take the invoice number you received along with email and track that way

Have you tried just making an account with the same email? Some sites find previous orders when you do that and they'll show up in your account.

I work as a solutions architect in the cloud computing space and unless your website is running on a physical server like it’s ten years ago then there’s no excuse to not handle web traffic these days.
You believe any of these companies pay for on the fly scaling? :)
