Scalper bots said to be responsible for majority of GeForce RTX 50 Founders Edition sales in Europe - VideoCardz.com
ProShop has sold the bulk of European RTX 50 Founders Edition cards to scalpers NVIDIA and retailer have nothing to share yet. Not only has this large European retailer broken the embargo by selling RTX 5090 and 5080 cards before the official release, but the company has also done nothing to...videocardz.com
It is impossible to get anything these days without knowing the right places and paying for bots.
I remember pre-ordering consoles back in the day.. If you wanted a PS2/PS3 you would walk into Game when they started taking pre-orders and pay your deposit and you got one.
Now if you want anything you have to wait ages cos everyone just scalps everything.

Just received an email saying my 5090FE has been dispatched. I assume it won't arrive until Monday though.
There’s billions of people on the planet voting with wallets doesn’t work anymore.
On the plus side previous gen cards are retaining value so upgrading every gen and selling the old card actually seems like a plausible tactic reducing cost to, what, £500-£800 every two years or something.

Extremely disappointed in OCUK, Brought a 5080 of them yesterday, after the first one I had in my basket sold out, manage to purchase one later and the website told me it would arrive today. I've just seen on twitter that as it's not marked a dispatched it is classed as a pre-order. Not even an email to explain this I had to go looking for information myself. And OCUK took my money knowing they had sold out.

Nah that aint true. Consoles have never been that hard to get as long as you put in pre-orders early. I've never missed a launch I chose to participate in, and I didn't do anything special for any of them, the 360, the wii, the switch, the ps5, and many more I just pre-ordered when they first started and they arrived day one no issue. No sites dying, no trackers needed. Scalping does happen still but it's just not to the same degree as what happens with these graphics cards since there's way more stock. PS5 was a bit of an exception, but that was covid more than Sony's fault. Where as Nvidia just doesn't seem to want to produce many graphics cards before they launch for whatever reason.
Yep I wouldn't mind if they emailed this information and told me what position in the queue I'm in. But the statement saying don't ask them. very poor customer service

Same here! DPD tracking link says they are expecting the parcel shortly. I am still hoping it will arrive tomorrow.. will know soon enough. It would great to have it at the weekend.
