NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - (PRE)ORDER DISCUSSION **NO COMPETITOR HINTING**

I wouldn't worry about it lol. Your card your money.
Thanks its just an option. I could have done it on the sly, but felt like I had sound reasons that I could explain, even if everyone couldn't get behind necessarily.

It's a shame GPUs are so limited in supply that we as gamers have to make these decisions about what matters more increased game performance or significant money etc.

I stand by that. Retailers should be held to a high standard. Plus they are invested in long term growth. Totally different considerations to a single seller IMO.
What you done was worse. Posted a picture celebrating the fact you got one while at the same time flogging it on ebay for just plain stupid money. While at the same time joining in with a community who moan about scalpers, who are patiently waiting for their pre orders or just waiting for an opportunity to buy. I think it is Matt who was buying up 9800X3D's he could have scapled them but he sold the ones he didnt want at cost plus postage, that is respectful. If you going out to just rip people off dont post pictures of yoru new gaming card. That is just rubbing peoples faces in it

A lot of the crying in here is just people upset they don't have (potentially) 3k profit in their hands.

People shouldn't be mad at this, it's entirely rational, you should be mad at Nvidia who created the conditions for this kind of profiteering in the first place with their disgusting none launch.

I wish you luck @Hostile_18 in the sale, though I really do question the sanity of whoever it is ends up buying it from you.

I love my games and this is the best GPU IMO, but do I love it more than 3k profit.... hell no lol. We'll see I'd be happy either/or, but there comes a point where you just have to be practical and money conscious IMO.

If you can come away with 3k clean profit then good on you imo , I can't quite believe people are paying £4000 for the FE but if you can get double what you paid for it then so be it ( i would like to believe you had no intention of originally selling it but those prices have clearly caught your eye ) ... I have no intention of selling my Astral when it arrives but if someone turned around and said hay I'll give you double what you paid for it then I'm sorry off it would go ( i would question their mental sanity for paying £6000 for a GPU but will take their money non the less) my dad always said to me a fool and his money are easily parted

Everyone is free to take their own stance,

but if 150+ individuals can sell the card for £3,500+ they'd be crazy not to, if the profit is more useful to them than the GPU.

I don't think anyone bought one with the intention of selling it on so quickly, until they saw what it was going for.

If Nvidia produced healthy stock we wouldn't even be here in the first place.

Yeah pretty much. I think people can get someone going for an easy 3k profit, but the double standards is kinda hilarious.

I mean yeah, I agree, Nvidia are the issue at the end of the day. Enough stock means scalpers don't get money.

I did consult with close friends "hey I have this item I really want, but I can sell it for a lot that is a really significant amount of money for me what shall I do" and I think everyone said sell it. I get it though we as gamers a passionate and we are all excited about a new launch and its been a crappy launch. Everyone who knows me knows I'm a gamer/tech person first, but it would feel a little bad knowing playing my 5090 now meant giving up so much, when I can just wait.

Again I could have not said anything, but personally I think there is a legitimate decision to be made for early adopters. I did post a picture of my card, because I am excited to get it and I do want to give it a blast so bad lol that's why its high price or nothing.

Edit I'll leave it at that though, because I don't want to detract from others enjoyment of the thread on what can be an emotive subject.

Exactly. I'm on a waiting list, not expecting it any time soon and am buying with the intention of gaming and keeping it for years, but if I got one tomorrow and some dope was going to give me a grand or more in profit then you'd best believe I'm taking it. These are all completely unnecessary luxury products, there is no moral calculus in keeping or flipping.
