Jesus lol move on people. It's like the gpu moral police on here. At the end of the day he was lucky to get a card and whether he wants to use it or has the ability to make 3k of extra money from it that's up to him. Would many who bought a 5090 if someone came up to you and said I'll give you 3k more than you paid for it turn that offer down? Maybe if you were very well off and didn't need the extra money but I guarantee a lot would accept it and take the money.

Don't get me wrong as personally i think people blaming the player, you, rather than the game, Nvidia, and the lack of supply is misdirected anger but lying is only going to compound things.
I have zero doubt that you are a decent person so please do not take as a persnal attack as it is not meant that way. It is your money to do with as you please and i have no issue with that at. I think the problem myself and others have is apparently you have moaned about scalpers in this thread (i aint checked but others have said it) but effectively you are scalping. The picture where you were clearly chuffed to get your card only t then find out your selling it probably rubbed salt in the wounds for many waiting patiently for their cards and then finally the assumption that most would do the same in your shoes, i have a MSI Gaming OC coming Thursday, i aint selling adn i am sure others arent either it kind of implied we are all hypocrits as we ahve all moaned about scapling only to then be told but you would all do it.
In this instance and with retrospect you probably would have been best off not posting the pic and keeping it too yourself. O personally have made moeny on graphics cards before buthethey were all second hand and well used by me which in my opinion is different as not taking rare stock away from other community members who would enjoy and use the card
Anyway sorry you have had a bt of a bashing over it and hopefully tomorrow it will all be forgotten

Im honestly not bothered it it sells for that high price Ill be happy either way. Nope, just this once because of the really fortunate position I'm in to be one of the first to get such a desired model. Like I say I didn't buy to sell, it was the model I wanted. Plus it only takes one time for it to go bad and that's everything gone.
Ps the things you own are yours to do what you want with as well. I'm not going to do what your doing to me and tell you how you should be prioritising your financial situation.

Thank you, it a reasonable take. My thing about complaining about scalpers is with retailers doing it. In my view it is short sighted quick cash but does long term damage to the brand. Part of the reason retailer is different to a private seller is that often a term of been distributed the goods to sell in the first place is that it must be at or around msrp. Also they rely on good will and repeat custom rather than a one off purchase. Pro consumer focused businesses are always more desirable.
I don't have to much to say about scalpers other than I do belive it is morally (and possibly legally) wrong to use bots and advanced tools to "snipe" stock. I believe everyone should have a "fair" chance of getting a new product. I do believe that once someone has a procession it is there's to do with what they want. There are exceptions for example say someone is gifted an item.

Thats fair. I'm not judging anyone. I'm somewhere in the middle. I wish I had enough money that I could lean more to the gaming side. But to be honest I can have everything if I'm happy to wait say six months or so, for me and my circumstances it's worth it.
