NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - (PRE)ORDER DISCUSSION **NO COMPETITOR HINTING**

I don’t think there is any real difference ‘morally’ between retailers or individuals doing ‘whatever you want to call it’ - it’s the same.

The only difference is that the retailer has a more vested interest in not annoying people because of harming repeat business. A retailer is also more up for a loss / gain as the increase / decreases will stack across all of its stock.

But yes, topic done! I’m still sat on queue position 41 for my Suprim… hopefully some movement by the end of the month!

He will / should pay tax should he sell for profit in excess of £1,000.

Capital gains allowance is currently £3k per annum (which can double up when in a marriage / civil partnership). The rate that applies depends on whether you are a higher rate tax payer or not.

Why insinuate I'm making up a story? Based on what evidence? Considering you are essentially calling me a liar, can you tell me where I get these 4090's so cheap that selling at a loss would be some kind of net benefit? Surely I would have to be able to get better than trade prices to make that worth while. If you want to take it to PM I can show you my invoices. I just think its extremely unfair to make assumptions and present them as if they are fact to people.
I'm not insinuating anything, i straight up said if that's the story you want to go with. I said that because it is a description, either true or imagined, of a connected series of events.

I'm also not essentially calling you a liar, i said lying is only going to compound things, IDK you well enough to know if you are a liar all i know is certain claims you've made have seemingly been knowingly false.

I'm not making assumptions and I'm not presenting them as facts, I've made a reasoned argument for why i believe your claim that "And it's a single item, once." may not be true, whether it is or not is up to each individual to decide.

And no I'm not going to waste time with you on PM just so you can make yourself feel better, it really doesn't matter to me if you did or didn't profit off selling on 4090's because like i said i think people anger is misdirected.

well i think 50 series drought is 50% over because 5080s are available everywhere

5090s hmmm a bit dry at the moment, but give it a month or so, everyone who wants to spend their 3 grand on a 5090 will get a 5090, dont worry guys jensen will take your money

I think there has been quite a few MSI cards in transit landing this week, then there will be a break for a good few weeks while production and distribution catch back up from Chinese New Year.

5080's I think will be readily available shortly. There just in an awkward middle ground of expensive but far from the top tier, as probably was the intention.

Anyway!!

ASUS TUF 5090 from OCUK is coming today - managed to get a half day at work so will be home by lunch to get tinkering.

This was a pre-order, I didnt manage to catch when it was in stock so im assuming atleast one shipment has arrived
Sad, no update on any stock on the other website for the ASUS TUF 5090, hope you enjoy it :D

Yes, because on the site they are available - Many bot sites will setup Autobuy.
So if your willing to pay for the bots to do this, then you will get one.

I keep scratching my head trying to remember how long it took before the bots calmed down.

Feel like after a couple months for the 30 series launch - although the product was scare - they were generally available outside of bots when they dropped a couple months after launch date.

Good, I hope the bots buy them all up. Then stock will return to normal levels, suppliers will get a massive return of unsold cards, prices will go back down and we are all laughing in this thread!

I will stick with my pre-ordered card which is close to MSRP as I can get, no. 45 so far, Zotac 5080.

Is it safe to come back in here again yet?

Think it was a while longer - I bought my 3080 on release day, and received it about 2 days before Cyberpunk released - Lots of people were still waiting for stock at that point, and I think that was nearly a 3 month gap.

You will never know when a good liar is tellling the truth!

Some women are masters of this wizardry.

The stock will only calm down when scalpers can't get £4k on the auction site.
As soon as prices on there return to normality then cards which come into stock won't be scalped.

If you search the popular auction site for 5090's that have actually SOLD, the prices are already dropping considerably this week. £3200 seems the going rate on there right now.

I think stock is much better than expected, there are clearly lots of cards coming in each day. Whether or not there'll be a big pause due to new year remains to be seen - though be aware the factories are mostly automated these days.
