NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - (PRE)ORDER DISCUSSION **NO COMPETITOR HINTING**

I don't understand how MSI stock is coming through yet it's only one of their cards. Surely they wouldn't just bring in a few Trios, they would also drop Vanguards & Suprims. Is this stock that has just been held back.
A few possible reasons...

- The higher-end designs took longer to QA. Not all card models pass validation testing simultaneously. Even if it was just a week, it would mean the lower-end models would get out sooner
- The UK is getting less of the higher-end cards due to it being a smaller market where people have less disposable income. I recall reading this happening with past CPU models where Intel and AMD shipped fewer of their higher-end models here as they were more likely to sell in larger markers with higher incomes and PPP.

Thanks. Hopefully some substantial movement is incoming. I've gone down by 16 places through sheer force of cancellations I think. 162 now, yay \o/

Posted and discussed a few pages back. Concensus is cautious optimism to 'I'll believe it when I see it".

Basically, any rumor this generation required adding a few more months, if time based, 10-15% less if regarding performance, or a few hundred quid if about price. Nearly all rumors have been too positive due to a combination of natural optimism and/or planted marketing "leaks".

oh no i have to return my borrowed 4090 on Wednesday, after that I'l have to look elsewhere to borrow another card from somewhere, only if I could rent a card or somthing to get me by until we get some stock in

Even if that's true it's not guaranteed to help with prices if AIBs arent making the MSRP cards anymore, lol.
AIBs only make a small number of the "MRSP" cards anyway, but surely its better to pay say £2200 for a "MRSP" Asus Tuf or Gigabyte Windforce than the £2500-£2800 currently being charged. Icreased supply means prices will fall once initial demand and FOMO idiots are satiated.

Competitor needs to sack whoever is responsible for putting up the daily exchange rate .. not sure what exchange they are using but it's been £1 to $1.26 since Friday yet they are still quoting £1 to $1.24 ... make sure you pull them up on this if your card is arriving this week

I've seen a little bit of movement in the queue. Guessing people are finding cards rather than just dropping out as it was stuck for ages.

No movement in my queue today (Palit Gamerock 5090). Last week, I decided that the reason the queue wasn't moving was because of the "watched kettle never boils" effect, so I limited myself to a single check per day for most of the week. It didn't work.

Then on Friday, I broke my self-imposed rule and checked my position several times... and lo and behold, I moved 6 places. This provides actual, scientific proof that by refreshing the order status page enough, I bring the queue position down.
