NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - (PRE)ORDER DISCUSSION **NO COMPETITOR HINTING**

No movement in my queue today (Palit Gamerock 5090). Last week, I decided that the reason the queue wasn't moving was because of the "watched kettle never boils" effect, so I limited myself to a single check per day for most of the week. It didn't work.

Then on Friday, I broke my self-imposed rule and checked my position several times... and lo and behold, I moved 6 places. This provides actual, scientific proof that by refreshing the order status page enough, I bring the queue position down.
I’m still 111 in that queue. Got the block on order for the end of march hopefully.

out of desperation ive just ordered a 5080 just to use until i get a chance to buy a 5090

Then I'll have to sell at a loss

I stupidly prematurely sold my 4090 coz I thought I would have been able to buy a 5090 on day one release.

it just seems like a ******* downgrade to me, actually its been a horrible experience trying to buy a GPU when u have the money, its like your money has no value, have cash but cant buy what u want

I wont eva sell my sh** before I get a replacement product

You might as well just check once a month at this rate.

Definitely sounds like it was purely lack of effort on your part. Disrespect the queue and it will disrespect you :-D

Was very, very tempted but I seeing how well they overclock and how the lack of memory hurts performance I think a Ti or super version is inevitable within the next 18 months. So I think that would be a better buy

Stay in the queue long enough and you can just switch your pre-order to the new Ti or Super version

Not heard of Geforce Now ? You could have used a 4080 for £20 for a month by which time you should be able to get your hands on a 5090
