NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - (PRE)ORDER DISCUSSION **NO COMPETITOR HINTING**

Im on queue number 7 on the other one for the Gigabyte waterforce since Feb 7, has not moved at all unsurprisingly. I suspect this will probably take the longest one from all the AIBs to start trickling down to consumers. In the meantime I've been making offers on eBay FEs at MSRP or 10% over MSRP max. Scalpers engage in scum behaviour no matter what way you look at it.

1st time i've managed to get a card in my basket. Not paying the prices but it's interesting to see how quickly they are going.

The one just now at 2250 is starting to get into the ball park.

Well seen inno3d and gigabyte 5090s today so thats two more off the list I haven't seen drops for. Still missing Zotac though, the one I'm waiting on, typical, lol.

I managed to get a 5080FE in the drop today. I originally wanted a 5090, but to be honest I'm not that annoyed about spending half the amount of money and not having to upgrade my PSU. Plus I can cover a good chunk of the cost by selling my current GPU.

I can put the money 'saved' towards a new motorbike now :)

I'm using an older Corsair RM850x that doesn't have the new 12VHPWR connector, am I still good to go with the 5080FE just using the adaptor it comes with?
So long as your current cables have Type 4 printed on them then this Corsair cable should be a tidier way to power the GPU.

I have this PSU, which is no longer for sale as I assume it has been updated: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/cors...-modular-atx-power-supply-cp-9-ca-267-cs.html

Will I need any extra cables for the 5080?

Is that cable you linked just for a cleaner install?

100% suppliers are holding back. If they had 100 they would be silly to release them all when you can just add a couple every day @ £3k+. It keeps the demand high.
Just imagine if certain places were actually selling them on eBay instead. Let’s face it they would make even more money.

Places were 100% doing it with Hatchimals

I'm quite far out of the loop by the look of it.

I have a Corsair RM850x Plus Gold PSU.

Anything I should be aware of if getting a 5090?

Should I look to upgrade the PSU?
