NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - (PRE)ORDER DISCUSSION **NO COMPETITOR HINTING**

To those asking re: queue position, I didn’t order from OcUK so I can’t be super specific (forum rules).

The retailer I did purchase from has a ‘track order’ section of their website. By putting in your invoice / order number and postcode (or email address) you can see which of the 4 stages of the order you are on. There is within this section also now a new link for ‘live order tracking’ this shows me in queue position 45. This is a Suprim 5090.

My dispatch times have also been updated:

Estimated Despatch Date: 7th Feb - 8th Feb

Estimated Delivery Date: 10th Feb - 14th Feb

Edit: this has since changed to TBC.

From what I saw yesterday - and I had a lot of browser windows open - there was only one website that couldn't handle the traffic. A couple of the others got a little slow, but ultimately stood up.

The scalpers/bots thing has been an arms race for years and, unfortunately, the scumbags always seem to be ahead in it when a big launch comes around. Or did they struggle a bit with the 4000 series? I forget.
I work as a solutions architect in the cloud computing space and unless your website is running on a physical server like it’s ten years ago then there’s no excuse to not handle web traffic these days.

Just checked mate, no 39 in the queue. Claims it will currently dispatch 7-8th feb and be with me 10-14th feb :)
Same ETA as my queue position 99.

Either they have a truck load coming in then, or they have no idea and will keep adding on a week to the ETA for as long as it takes

Glad I've got my order in regardless, didn't expect a card for a few weeks.

Re queue position - mine has changed again for the suprim and says "awaiting dispatch date". So will just have to wait now and see how long they take.

185 for me and that was having ordered quite a bit later - glad I can sit back and stop caring now

Yeah it's a nice position to be in, can focus on work/other things and just know it'll arrive one day.

Also fully expect some to get impatient and cancel, or snatch a FE and cancel etc, so queue number will drop over time.

Just seen that the other place offering preorders put up a live tracking section. I am 129 in the queue for a palit 5090. Took me ages to get payment confirmed. Doesn’t sound too high a number but may be if only getting small stock in. Anyone else seen this?
I am 37 in that exact same queue. The ETA is 30 March, but hopefully that'll come down a bit. Order went in around 15:30.

Assuming you ordered from the other place, find the follow up email with your invoice and hit the online order tracking link and there’s a queue position button on that webpage.
Jesus wept.
position125... estimated delivery 4th may
Well, it could be worse I suppose, I know I have one incoming, unlike the 3080 years ago where I spent months tracking websites etc.
That was horrific.
Just hope I chose the right one now. (Palit gamerock, only one review which seems ok, just a shorter warranty)

Mine's still 'Awaiting Picking'

My 5090 FE is order is on this status too. Estimated dispatch date in the email confirmation is today though. So fingers crossed all is ok.

Edit: just had another look, the email actually says estimated delivery 31 Dec - 4 Feb.

I keep seeing peeps referring to the £2000 price of the 5090 but that's not reality as they're all sold out. If you want to compare then someone who bought a 5080 for £1800 would probably need to spend at least another £800 for a 5090. That's the reality of it.
not really as you can still preorder 5090s now for £2150...

No excuse other than you'd rather not erode your margin on scaling costs, when, let's face it your website will still sell out when back online and you'd rather pocket the £XXk that you'd need to spend at peak to maintain good UX.

I guess that dashes hopes that the pre-order page dates weren't there just to lower expectations, lol. Insane if the stocks going to be this garbage until May.

Some folk will cancel or grab another card as they become available so your queue position will likely drop

I'd love to know how many Suprim pre-orders are in amongst the UK retailers in total, must be several hundred cards.

Hopefully lets MSI/distributers know where to prioritize stock, maybe it makes no difference at all, who knows
i'm in queue position 33 for my suprim liquid. -
change from dispatching today and estimated delivery date of feb 3-7th to: Awaiting Despatch Date

different cards will have different stocks though. Mine is a Palit, Asus and Gigabyte could well have more cause they are a bigger company, but then again they probably have way more orders as well...

I was hoping the same, that it was just a "it might be april, but hopefully sooner"

It actually said March when I preordered. :(
