American-russian whistleblower .
Ex NSA contractor that leaked documents about the global surveillance. Loves in Russia now.
Another contradiction. So for me all of the anti 5000 series posts are aimed at Nvidia. Yes the odd dig at anyone silly enough to pay £1400 - £1500 for a 5080 and (and I stress the AND part) excuse it with a “what choice do I have”. How about not buy it at all to send a message, stick with what you’ve got, or buy one of last gen’s EOL mid range cards to tide you over until the scalping stops.
Another contradiction.
How about you keep your nose out of other people's personal choices and stick to discussing tech instead? Stop telling people how to spend their money.
You're one of the most toxic forum members in this thread and you just admitted it.
I tried both bios settings and the fan stop worked but as soon as played games it came on at 30%. It occurred from day one and I never overclocked the card. RMA’ing would be the answer but didn’t want to wait from October 2022 until 2023 for stock of a new card.pity because zotacs have been the quietest cards I've owned, you must have got a bad one. Didn't it have fan stop (where the fans goto 0rpm below a certain frequency)?
Edit just looked on the zotac website and all the 4090's have fan stop and also a dual (quiet) bios
Maybe you disapplied it with overclocking or something
I just think it's funny how in this thread, it's perfectly acceptable for people to be pre ordering 5090s for £2500+, yet it's the people buying 5080's that are apparently driving the cost of GPUs up for everyone.
The hypocrisy in this thread is depressing.
According to one German site, the link to the buy page was leaked and (I presume Germany stock) sold out before launch. You can figure it out (sort of) - I managed to get it to partially load yesterday.
It doesn't go live to get the actual link though until they are ready.
Had my Zotac Trinity from new and no fan issues at all...I tried both bios settings and the fan stop worked but as soon as played games it came on at 30%. I’m not saying Zotac cards are bad just in my experience I would never buy one again as the quality for a nearly 2 grand card just wasn’t there. Just search Reddit or YouTube it’s a known issue with the top model 4090 AIRO extreme maybe it was a certain batch but it’s enough to put me off wouldn’t touch them again.
Here’s a trinity with a similar issue to my AIRO. Zero coil whine just what can be described as a horrible mechanical noise and the zero stop only makes worse with them spinning on and off all the while.
Bad Zotac Fans
Probably luck of the draw, same as anything I guess cars, homes, TVs etc. Most people are fine but there will still be issues of bad quality or faults, which in this case Zotac says is normal functionality. Great £1949 for a GPU which sounds like a cement mixer!Had my Zotac Trinity from new and no fan issues at all...
Their choice has nothing to do with you, it's not your money they're spending. These people don't 'need' reminding, it's 100% YOUR choice to remind them.Yeah, I know. But some people need to be reminded their choice was “ill conceived”. The fact they don't like to be reminded is basically admitting they know they made a mistake.

It's akin to the Apollo 13 launchSo how's the launch going
Wow I hadn't noticed the small print before. MFG x4 on 50 series cards... How the hell is that a fair comparison. Rats. The original charts clearly show gains over 30% and were later swapped out to the realistic ones in a bait and switch.

But again, how are you ever going to know. All your saying is you don't trust 2nd hand GPU's, which is fine, that is a risk you take buying anything 2nd hand. Your just saying "I don't buy 2nd hand GPU's if the seller is honest about what they did with it"Similarly I wont trust one that I find has had a permanent overclock with higher power settings and over volts etc.
