NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - Technical/General Discussion

I'm on the lookout for the world's shortest 12VHPWR cable :D.

That's horrific! I think I might just buy an RTX 4060/4070 and wait for some sanity to return to the market if those are genuinely the prices and they translate to a similar cost in GBP!
If these sell - and chances are they will - it will become new norm and they will not drop down anytime soon.

I got an email from another vendor offering me a chance to win...a chance to buy a 5080. Since I sold my 4080S to a friend recently, I'm in the market for a 5080. So I clicked the link and they had three different 5080's starting at $1400....

So I closed that tab and went back to what I was doing. Lol

If you recall Ada launch they dragged out the high end to stall for all ampere stock to sell before the lower tiers came out.

Is there no love for Inno3D cards or is the market just swamped with cheap 5080 PALIT cards? Listed my 5080 for £100 less than I paid 2 weeks ago (can’t return as from a competitor that only has 14 day return policy) had stacks of views 200+ in 24 hours but only low ball offers?

An opened 5080 at £1,400 is going to be a tough sell, now that most of the 5080 stack is at below this price brand new (even at pre-scapled prices).

I would expect shipments to start picking up over the next couple weeks, the cheap Zotac cards will start flooding in as well.

Missed this earlier.

Tbh mate… in a market where 5080s are coming in and going down in price, who is going to be interested in taking a ‘suspiciously new’ and therefore ‘potentially B grade’ 5080, with all the risks of buying used… for the sake of saving £100?

Which is.. crying to sleep because you sold your 4080S lol
Lol no. I wouldn't have sold my 4080S if it was my primary card. The only inconvenience I'm suffering is that I probably won't be able to sell my 5800X3D rig with the 1070 place holder. -since the 4070 Ti that I was going to sell with the 5800X3D is now my backup card. (And the rig will probably drop in value a bit by the time I get a 5080.)

It’s sold now so all good, the card is absolutely mint has all the protective stickers on it and has 3 years warranty(minus 2 weeks). Zero coil whine and is silent, shame I can’t say that about my 5090 FE lol
