NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - Technical/General Discussion

Spent the weekend giving it a good blast, overclocked to +425mhz on the core, 1250mhz on the memory, seems rock solid (even on the most unstable game I've ever come across ... Last of Us Part 1)

Also one of the nicer looking cards I've ever had, happy with my purchase :) (coming from a 4070 super, so half decent upgrade).

is it me or is the 5060ti 16gb half a deal and in some ways a better proposition than the 5070 ? awaiting reviews ?

I was tempted with a 5070 or 5070ti -but the Ti is too expensive for me and the 5070 the 12gb really puts me off as my current 3060ti is definitely much more limited by its VRAM than its core performance

12gb seems a bit close to current limits

so 16gb but with a slower core might outlast the faster GPU ?

I'd always buy the faster GPU.
Also 50 series has improved memory compression and technology so typically at 1080P/1440P on 50 series should not be exceeding 12G VRAM.

I doubt a 5060 Ti 16G will ever outperform a 5070 today or in a years time.

Still I feel the 5060 Ti 16G from £399 is very well priced, but suspect the well supplied OC variants will cost more for sure but no room to scalp these so scalpers be suicidal to buy the 5060 Ti considering 5070's are in stock from £499 at OcUK.

agreed - except for I'm sure in a number of titles a 3060 12gb would outperform my 3060ti 8gb due to the VRAM limitations

will be very interesting to see the reviews

reviews tomorrow see how the 5060ti does..price is bit strong but thats just how it is now days. £50 too dear even at launch.

I just got through 20 minutes of Jays2cents Video reviewing the 5060ti... then it got pulled! Didn't think he meant to make it live.

I was listening to it in the background so was not taking to much in. However it started off near the bottom quarter of the table but then picked up. I remember in one benchmark (As my son has a 6700XT)

6700XT - 56fps
5060ti - 94fps
