Not accusing here, merely speculating but do the people getting red lights following the update have "vanilla" consoles or are they modified?

Cheers, I hope the main page (my xbox etc) is none silverlight. I won't bother installing the plugin just to view Marketplace. I don't buy enough stuff to have to view it and queue it online.

I think I will stop hammering the page now :)

Do you never get bored banging on about your modded console? Give us your gamertag and I will file a report for modded console so you can "push your luck" some more :)

Mine is a core with no mods what so ever. Has the HDD out of my premium that also died (:rolleyes:) in it.

I assume M$ will cover this even though the console is a massive 18 months old?
 
Is there an easy way to get a friends list?? i don't like the big assed one you get and you see the wee dude with his head down if they are not online.
 
but thats a bit daft, what's the point in the dashboard then :(

I know i know, there's always one who aint happy.
 
Seems nice enough, just need to get used to it.

Not too keen on the new ingame popup when you push the Xbox guide button

Just installing COD:WaW now. CD drive is quiet though and I can only really hear the fans. I think I must have a quiet console.

Edit: It is quieter actually, never really noticed how loud it was. Can still hear it ever so slightly due to fans but its much better. now I am going to go do the Russian sniper mission :D

Its a shame the thing I am going to use the most looks crap (the ingame dash)

Installed mine about 45 mins ago, and so far the dashboard has crashed on me 4 times, I have to hit the xbox power button and restart.

Anyone else having same problem? seems to be when I navigate to the 'my xbox' section, and it seems very random when it does it.
 
I'd hazard a guess that people are experiencing problems because of volume of traffic going through Live atm.
Mine was running beautifully at 10:05 this morning, i'm not turning it back on till after 9, when traffic should have calmed down a bit.

LIve being busy shouldn't cause consoles to hang surely?

Mine does also, but when I turn it on without the HD it asks me to insert my HD, it then does the 3 red lights again. This is really strange. It will always have 3 red lights if I have the HD on when I turn it on. Tried my HD on my bros 360 and it works fine.
