NXE Official thread

Just got the update, quite liking the new look, it could have done with a new look as the old one was looking a bit out of date. Anyway I'm now installing my fav games onto the HDD so I can enjoy playing them without sounding like I'm stood on a runway! Best feature by far imo. Oh and the party system sounds interesting.
 
it makes you wonder with some of these games at the 6.8GB limit whether the debvs have had to leave things out of the game due to space restraints.
 
This is absurd, no transfer cable with the 60G HD, the 120G HD is like £130 when a New 360 with a 60G HD is only £160................This pricing structure makes no sense !
 
Well after a bit more of a play around it really does feel quite nice, deffinitly running faster than the old system aswell, feels nice not having to wait five mins well my XBLA games list loads;)
 
Just updated. Not too into the new look, but glad they kept the old blades when you click the xbox button. I really don't like the new friends list either, so, again I am glad they atleast let us use the old style with the blades. The avatars are lame as hell, looks like a kids console with those things. One of the selling points of the xbox was that is was more for the adults. Not a huge problem though I guess

Best part is the "My Xbox" screen, seems to be the biggest improvement out of the whole update. I'm going to try the install to HDD feature with a few games, see how it works.

Well I can confirm that you can only play an installed game on the console it was installed on.
That's really annoying - why would they do that?
Maybe the solution would be to install it on both consoles (with their own hard-drives) and have my profile on a memory card (along with game saves). Any thoughts on if this will work?
