No worse than playing from the disk, in fact the loading times seem very much reduced and also the draw distance if that’s what you call it has improved, random objects popping up seem to be less frequent.

Its a massive feature I feel is the install to HDD, the Xbox feels like a new console! Its silent

Definately! I loaded Halo 3, and it's the first time I ever realised that you can actually hear the bushes / grass rustling as you walk through them. I never knew there were such cool sound effects! Really this features has just unlocked the fullness of all my current games

Its quite weird that if you look at your FL and see someone in party chat you can see who they are talking to.

I had a play aroumd on Fable 2 and I notice there's a really big boost in load times when you bring up menus and expressions when the game is installed.

I'm not sure if it's the chat or who they are playing but right now I can see who Tamsmeister is with. When I go to the FL he has 4 other people stood near his avatar. It threw me to start with cos I didn't have a clue who they were and what they where doing on my FL

another feature i noticed, if your doing split screen and your mate looks at you from his friend list he can view you split screens avatar too, he is usually standing beside you

the same applies if you have a party

NXE is awesome, the Guide is so much faster to use now and the Party system is great.

Got World at War on the hard drive so far, about 96Gb free.

anyone know how to get rid of some of the games on your login, you know the bit where it lists all your achievments, im sure I saw in a vid you could get of some, I have 120+, mostly demos i tried for 5 mins then deleted. can I ditch these, if so how

Yes, I've installed about 55GB worth now. I'm surprised at just how many are coming up at the 6.8GB max.

I'm down to 18.6GB from about 91GB that was free this morning, that's about 12 games installed. I'll probably add L4D onto the HDD when it arrives in a day or two and then I'll have to stop myself to save enough space for DLC and save games.

What the hell for? Some of your games you haven't played for over 3 months. Why install games you rarely play?

I will install Gears 2, COD5 and Fifa when I open it. Anything else for the occasional game evey 3 months is a waste of drive space. I will probably never need or want to install more than 4 or 5 games at any time.

I'd install them all if it meant never having to reach for the disc, but I still need to do it so I'm not that fussed.
