Oblivion Mods

I just downloaded the Natural Environments mod, but unfortunately it looks like once it's installed, you can't get rid of it so I didn't bother. Much prefer the ones you can enable or disable via the game's launcher.

I use this mod and i really like it, according to the readme if you want to uninstall it you simply delete the files and the game will revert to the original textures and settings.

I running a number of mods for Oblivion and have a few questions if anyone can help.

The mods I currently run:
Short Grass V2
Potion Sorter
Darker Dungeons
Darker Nights
Axebane_Hunters15
Bounty Reduction Over Time
Brighter Torches
Deadlier Sneaking
Deadlier Traps
No More Annoying Messages
Natural Water by Max Tael
Natural Weather by Max Tael
No physic guards harder
No Obsolete Loot and Enemies
Rare Items v1.18
Time 2x

Question 1: How can I tell if there are any conflicts with these mods?

Question 2: I downloaded the mod for a coloured in game map but I'm not sure where to put the file. It is not an .esp file but .omod file and there is no readme file, so where should it go?

There's a colour map mod which is called color map mod, zip version which doesn't require you to install the mod manager. I haven't installed the mod manager cos it requires .NET 2.0 and i don't want to install it :p

i've been busy.. all night, tweaking my first NPC. not an amazing thing but maybe entertaining for the assassin types (he's got respawn on too) or for folk just wanting an extra NPC about??

TravelingMerchant_1.0.zip
anyone brave enough to try it, let me know what you think or of any issues you find.. like if while your stalking him he starts attacking someone for no reason :o he attacked me twice and also set about a guard but he seems much more chilled out now :D
something worth noting is that i play using timescale 24 rather than the default 30. although the NPC should be fine at default he may not do his full routine, he may skip a job but it should not effect him too much. in the zip archive i also added a plugin to set the timescale to 24 should one wish too and a wee bit of info how to do it/undo it from the console as another method. it does not 'have' to be done though..

also i added a clue to where he can be often found in the botton of the readme, out of sight incase anyone would rather just stumble upon him.

to uninstall, remove the .esp/.esp's and he'll just vanish from the world but as always make a backup of your save before using any new plugin :)

edit: if you downloaded it before 2:15am, do so again please.. doh! i uploaded the wrong version :o it's not major just he will miss out two jobs, 3 times a week.

But you have to have the .NET framework installed to run Oblivion in the first place

Anyway, why wouldn't you want it? :p

Yeah, not .net 2.0 ;)

I've had a particular aversion for .net 2.0 ever since i installed it and played havoc with my system. If there's a non .net installer available, then i'm getting that :p

this one's great, if you like to make combat more even with the AI who turn and face away while running away.. each second you 'run' backwards you stand a 30% chance of falling over

edit: typical, just after i post it i start getting a bit of a bug where i fall over when i'm not moving. needs a tweak although it could be one of the other plugins clashing

help, i'm trying to install the LOD mod, and it's asking me to put it in the textures folder in my data folder. Now i can see the textures icon, but it's one of those that windows doesn't know how to open, what do i use?

Just copy it into the folder as per instructions, you don't need to open it. That's if I understood your question correctly :)
