I watched the film this evening at the cinema. Most of my thoughts are in the main film thread (below), but here's some more deeper and spoilery thoughts.
Cinematography was excellent.
Jump scares - not overly filled with them, but the ones in the film weren't cheap.
Obsession (2026)
Finally went to see this at the cinema this evening. A horror film about a young man, who has a crush on his friend. Things take a turn after he gets what he wished for.
It was a common and relatable story. You wish for something. You be careful what you wish for. However, this film's take on it was superb. Especially with the budget that they had, they did an incredible job.
It was freakishly funny in various parts too. Acting was great. Cinematography was excellent. The use of shadows and dark scenes were brilliant.
Disturbing film, but in a good way. Highly recommended.
I've put some more spoiler-y thoughts in the dedicated thread for the film.
9/10
Cinematography was excellent.
She was constantly in shadows and there were plenty of moments where I was thinking - "do I want to be able to see her or not...?"
Jump scares - not overly filled with them, but the ones in the film weren't cheap.
Mrs got jump scared at that scene in the car where his girlfriend suddenly appeared and killed Sarah. There was a moment where the hairs on my skin stood up when she was saying "I love you" and then all of a sudden she started walking backwards. It was just freaky overall.
