Obsidian New RPG Avowed

Going to wait 3-6 months for mrk and the rest of you folks to beta testing this one before I pick it up :)

They also banned some YT influencer(s) from recording the character creator screen because it shows pronouns. :P

Trying to avoid the DA Veil Guard debacle, most likely.

The guy also said he'd prioritize hiring black artists over whites, so openly racist as well.

Tells me all I need to know about this game, probably.

Look up Asmongold for the YT, can't link because of swearies.

Game looks good. Combat is something that's better 'felt' than observed, looking at it it doesn't seem great but OK. That said, he seemed to be quite positive in the video which is a great sign IMO.
UI looks functional to me, I'd rather a functional and easy to use UI than one than looks good but is a pain in the **** to use. I don't think it's ugly, but it could look better.
Performance worries me, I thought the performance of The Outer Worlds was a bit rubbish TBH considering the game, and while I know he's got RT on, the performance isn't great. Hopefully it is just the RT dragging it down.

Based off his preview, I'm expecting a 17.5/10 from IGN.
 
So one selfish person in the entire obsidian studio has potentially cooked this game for a lot of potential players by what was tweeted ? What is going on..

I thought this game was looking a bit rough even before this debacle - it looks like an inferior Skyrim knockoff ( and that game is 13 years old ). My theory is MS know this game is going to be a flop, so they need a scapegoat ... in this case the activist art director who can't stop flapping his lips.
