I wouldn't be that harsh m8. You're irritating but I wouldn't call you a nooblet ;)

It's spot on ;).

Also Locky is trying his hardest to stir the point, with Cupra echoing behind him. What's even more hilarious is that no one is even responding to them. Let the haters hate and actually caring if Nvidia wins or not is just laughable. Some people...... :p.

I think I'll be having a 6950 then buy myself a new system after the year. I've only been playing Call of Duty and PKR so have had no need to upgrade but my wallets even calling me a tight git.

Do you care to feed the trolls? There will always be moaners around on one side or another.

Reviews will be up tomorrow's morning, some will probably be released this night. I doubt that most of them will get to test the cards with new official drivers. Let's hope I'm wrong.

If the new drivers are true and they can match the performance of the 580 for £279 then its game, set and match for AMD.

Nvidia will only sell to fanboys, at least there seem to be a few of them in this thread... :D

In fact, if you own any nVidia stock I will say to you, sell tonight, better than tomorrow!

Was this 20% on the 500's due to voltage adjustment?
My 580 gets to 870MHz (12% OC) on stock 1.037v and 930MHz (20% OC) at 1.11v. It can run Heaven fine at 950 but it was not stable in games. I thought about flashing the bios to gain extra volts but it is not really worth the hassle.

Ok, think i'm sold

Doubt you'll spot this gibbo, but if you do, what game you offering? :D Might make the treacherous journey.. all the way from Fenton, England

Also, that discount sounds good. Is that a one day thing?

Right, other folk, coming from a 3870x2 (its been a while), were talking about at least twice the performance right?

Cheers

Looking at the 6970 and 6950 boards are identical apart from the power connector. 8pin to 6pin.
Imagine if 6950 would be able to be flashed to a full 6970. Now that would be a real diamond card, all for 220£.

Don't think these come with a game mate. You should see a slight gain over your 3870x2 ;)

Can't see the problems with these cards. Personally I don't want to spend bombs of money so AMD offers the performance similar to Nvidia but they keep the prices nicer and lower for the most part. For me the 6970 looks brill but 6950 is great performance for the price so I'd settle with that and be very happy.

Just ran the Heaven 2.1 bench on my system in sig 4870x2, 3.6Ghz OC, performs substantially less than the 6950 at stock so may get 2 of those :)

HD4870x2 and Unigine Heaven 2.1? No Dx11 test then, nothing to compare.

There's no problems with the cards tbf, there's only butthurt fanboys who wished AMD cards were sold for £100 more and offered substantially worse performance. None of this is true, that's where the crap is coming out from.
